Great Bags Under $500

I was just thinking that when I saw them, leather is really like Balenciaga. I was just wondering if they had a brand label on them or came with a dust bag or something? Thanks

The more I look at the bags the more the look like the Balenciaga Hobo.

I was thinking the same thing too, after alot of research, I ended up getting it . I studied tons of pictures of the B bags and it looks remarkably like the same leather. It is crackly and distressed and has a shiny coating that is very delicate. I think it distresses just like the normal B bags we see on the Everything Balenciaga thread. Tano handrubs the dyes into their leather. Tano originates from Madrid and I think Balenciaga is in Spain... so there might be a connection with the tanneries/factories, etc?

The only label is Tano's own fabric label on the interior pocket, although in their newer bags, I've seen a redesigned label that is bolder and funkier, in a good way... I can't say for sure if it is only on the interior of the bag.

I didn't get a dustbag when I got mine, but that is a minor bummer compared to how pretty the bag is. You might want to check with the seller if they come with dustbags. Mine came with the tassels on the zips, and the normal retail tags.

Even my husband who isn't normally interested in fashion said, "that bag is nicer than I thought" !!!

^following my own words, I don't want to imply that Tano does replicas... Tano is a company that has been around for many years and designs their own bags. I love their leather.

Oh no they are not replicas, they are different to Balenciaga it is just the leather that is similar. I'm in the Republic of Ireland and I can't find anywhere that will ship to Europe. Does anyone know of any site selling Tano bags that ships to Europe? I REALLY want one now.Thanks.

Saw this bag on a lady at DSW yesterday....

Not only is the bag huuuuge... but it's pretty awesome in person.

The only downside is that she said the bag was a bit heavy.

But at 475 ... it's a great bag for under 500

I see this bag a lot too. I don't like this size as much as the smaller one, which only has 2 buckles at the corner and is even cheaper at $385.

just trying to bump this thread! I can't bring myself to spend over $200 on a bag... morally and financially.

Those Tano bags are gorgeous. I'm thinking of getting the Gerard, but the site doesn't show all the colors. Is there any way of seeing what "ginger crackle" and "orange blahblah" look like??

Nevermind. I emailed the site and the lady sent me photos of all the Tano Gerard colors. I'm falling more and more in love with the bag, may be ordering soon. I just wish they had more colors - I'm usually the girl who loves bright colors, but damn, these are just blinding.

Whoever bought the Gerard, please post a picture! Would love to see it.
