Green Eyes

I have green eyes and I was wondering what color eyeshades would look best as well as eyeliners. I have a fair complexion so Im kind of skeptical about dark colors like purple even though I heard it was a good color for green eyes. Any suggestions?

Plums and purples really do look great with green eyes. I get compliments on my eye color every time I wear them.

I second the plums and purples.....I wear MAC eye pencil in Prunella or Chanel's Ambre shade. Both are a subtle plum that really frame my green eyes well. I usually do golden beiges and brown tones for shadow, as I'm still burnt out from all the purple shadow I wore in the 80s.

Personally...I can't wear the purples very well. Perhaps dark colors look bad on my face, because it's nearly busy already...I have freckles. Plus, it usually looks bad unless I use a really good concealer.


I have found shimmery golden shadows to make your eyes pop, and even a gold/orange, if you can pull that off.

By the way, anybody - what shade of purple? Lavender? Or are we talking a dark, royal color?

I think MAC has a good selection of purples, so does Dior.
I have light hazel eyes and i always get compliments on my eye colour when I wear purple. I think it looks good on any eyes from green to dark brown. Don't know about blue though.

I have green eyes and I use gray eye liner. I'm not too big on the eyeshadows but I do were any it's usually purple, black, gray and white.

i use to wear a purple shade by clinique and it was so pretty with my green eyes but that was also when i had a darker complexion. i am going to see how it looks now that my complexion is more fair. just recently i bought an eyeshadow by estee lauder called tea biscuit and it is also a pretty color for my green eyes. thanks so much for all of your replies.

Try Benefit Show-Offs loose powder in Lola. It's a gorgeous pinky-purple-blue color with an iridescent sheen. It can be quite a dramatic look, but I think it really compliments pale skin and green or hazel eyes.

Green Eyes, Blond Hair

I have green eyes, blond hair with brown lowlights, and in the summer get really tanned. What colors/products work really well with green eyes/blond hair/tans?

What colors look good on a person really depends on the undertone of the skin, more than hair/eye color. I blonde hair and dark green eyes w/ pale skin (pink undertones) and I've found that vibrant colors works best on my eyes. I can wear blues, greens, aquas, and even some oranges. I cannot wear browns at all- and it is not for lack of trying.

If you have skin that tans easily in the summer, I would suggest trying some pinky beiges on the eye, light golds, or cool pewters.

You can really only find what works for you by experimenting, so have fun with it. You can always wash it off

I have green eyes and blonde hair and I've found that bronzer and lilac/violet eyeshadows really accentuate my eyecolor, you should try it.

I have naturally blonde/brown hair and green eyes... and my skin tone is... well.. i can't really tell. I'm naturally KIND OF tan, but i guess you'd say I have fair colored skin. I think cool colors (blue, purple, silver) look really good on the eyes.... and purplish colors on the lips... but it all depends on the skin tone. For you... u sound like you'd look good with gold, tans, and bronze colors
