Grey's Anatomy

Oh I'm pretty calm about this, sure they won't kill her off.. I mean the show's named after her, kind of
I believe she will fight for her life and stuff, but Ellen is their main character, and I think she having this fight has a bigger meaning or something.

Also was I the only one who wanted to slap that little girl. Sorry, cute child and all but damn it took long from her to show Derek where Meredith is. (And ftr, I love children.)

Here's an interesting spoiler from E! Online:

*Sources say Meredith is the one who dies but will be revived and that her mother will be the permanent death.*

they should have atleast made izzie or some other intern's life in jeopardy because then the viewers would be a little less sure if they would actually die or not.

I think it's pretty safe to say that Mer won't die. Killing her off would ruin the show, and the writers know that. Plus, the show is named after her.

I think that when they said "devastating conclusion" they just meant in general, because the whole situation with the ferryboat was devestating.

Also, my dad told me that how they will probably explain Mer being able to survive is that if you drown in cold water, you have a better chance of surviving because the cold water (like in Seattle) slows down the processes of the body so it takes longer for your body to shut down/die.

Oh Meredith...

i 'm sure she's goin to be fine.they cant got the way of marrissa off the oc,can they:(?

From GA writers' blog:
He’s not Mer’s knight in shining whatever – he gets kicked out the trauma room where Richard and Bailey are working on her. He’s forced to sit out in the hall, helpless. And he’s seeing his worst nightmare come true. Because he’s realizing: Meredith has become so important to him and the prospect of losing her is terrifying. Who is he if he isn’t the guy who rescues Mer? Who is he when he can’t save a life?

:angry:For God's sake, he saved Mer from the cold water. That is HUGE.

Oh, I loved when Cristina said "she is my person" and "if I murdered someone she is the person I would call to help me drag the corpse across the floor." It's funny and awesome.

I agree. They make it like Derek didn't do anything at all, like he's just same bystander. But if it wasn't for him, she would have died for sure.

I also love that part with Cristina. Even though they're not like "touchy-feely" best friends, it's nice when they have those moments when you can really tell how much they mean to each other.

^First of all Derek WASN'T ALLOWED to be in the room, there is a law that doesn't permit doctors to operate(/help/blah blah) on family members (of course gf/bf is the same, i presume). That's just stupid... He saved her...

And of course she isn't going to die, not in a million years. And it's funny that she died and instead of seeing family members or friends that past away she saw Denny and the other guy (can't remember the name). How convenient...

^ I was gonna post that also...Ypu would think that she would see people she was close to. I mean, I kind of understand the other guy, just cause they went through that experience together....but I don't remember her even sharing a scene with Dennt, and I've seen pretty much every episode...

I think Denny came back by popular demand and the writers are crazy about him. Dylan. the bomb guy, is significant in Mere's life. ABC reran the bomb ep to remind the viewers who the other guy is.

Here is the new promo for next ep, Some Kind of Miracle:

Addison to Derek: you don't get to break down; you don't get to fall apart.

that promo is much better than the one thats like "derek shepherd is a doctor who is used to saving lives...blah blah"

I haven't been upset b/c I know there's no way they're going to kill off their main character. It would be the end of the show if they did.

Thank you so much for that promo. I never got a chance to see it until tonight. Obviously Meredith won't die. She is the title character of the show and well, just read what websites have to say about future episodes, she is still there. Meredith will not die. Who dies? I have no freaking clue but I do like how they are doing this storyline but at the same time I don't.

So far this season the OC and One Tree Hill have done an episode where a main character dies/is injured and in a coma and they get to see what life would be like without them *rather the lives of their friends and family*. As for why Denny and Dylan are there...who knows maybe all of the characters who have died will show up. Maybe we'll see Bonnie (train wreck victim) and the guy that Baliey was really close to?

I loved seeing the scene where Derek just broke down when they threw him out and Mark joined him and put his hand on Derek's arm. It was so sweet and touching. A lot of people I know do not like Meredith with Derek but I do. I can't help it I fall for the obvious couples. I was literally crying during the last episode. Also Cristina breaking down was really nice. They are each others people ya know? I liked the Izzie speech as well, it kind of gave everyone a little laugh in the middle of a really dramatic scene.

I love this episode and can not wait to see the new one.

I think they had Denny and Dylan so that the viewers would immediately know that she was supposed to be dead. If they were family members or friends who had died, then everyone would be going, "Huh? I don't get it...where is she?" Ya know?
