Gucci S/S 2026 Milan

It's a caricature both of himself and of Gucci but there are some fabulous things here (like most obviously perhaps, the coat on Alex Consani, which is just perfection and modelled awesomely by her, and the ones on looks 29 and 34). I want them, at least to feel them. It makes me wanna go to the store to touch them.
I love the leather boots on Lila and most all of the leather and menswear. The AM copycat dress on Penelope Ternes is also quite beautifully designed and I loooove the color - if only the logos could disappear...
I like the irony of a sun burned Kit Butler - very Italian - but still making it sexy and fun.
The great cast plays such a big part here!!
However I'm hating all the old-looking coats and dresses, and the full logo looks 3 and 16, i.e.

It's much better than I expected, but I still think he'll go wild and back to himself in a few seasons after he "proves" to the fashion world he can do more than it

That Balenciaga red carpet show was a better concept than this

They should’ve waited and released the lookbook after this event, seeing the looks we already saw on the same models killed any impact

I’m a Demna fan. I don’t think it really counts as a “gimmick” anymore when it’s been a consistent part of his design language and collections for years.

This feels like a solid introduction, almost a preview, for his first runway show, though perhaps a little on the safe side, even bordering on boring. For the next outing, there needs to be a stronger push with new products, especially shoes and bags.he has to bring it. Playing it safe won’t cut it; he’ll need to push harder and really position the brand as hot and of the moment. I think he can do it.

Also Demi Moore in that gold dress is divine omg

How much did they have to pay Gwyneth to wear that horrendous monogram look? Maybe she’s just trolling us at this point, since the outfit is the polar opposite of the aesthetic she launched with her GWYN line the other week.
Mind you, she was just at Michael Kors last week—which says something about the level of exclusivity Gucci is trying to project.

The whole idea of the carpet is not that bad, but they could have invited more interesting people. I liked seeing Julianne Nicholson, but Gwyneth and Serena Williams?? So random.

Gucci ate the cake.
I don't want to imagine the amount of work for Demna, who was appointed almost as a last-minute improvisation, to prepare all this.

It is going difficult for Chanel to top it.

As a whole (lookbook + catwalk + movie), one of the best shows not only of the season: of the decade.
By having their designer actually debut with a live show.

Despite trying so hard to look like the "new Gucci"...everything looks as old as it really is. Pure archival Gucci plus Demna-isms.

And it´s so cheesy, corny; and cringe-inducing to watch all those Hollywood people used once again as a bait to try to sell this boredom.

I loved the red carpet event. Cong was there which just adds to the love!

Those red carpets arrivals were practically a show imho.
Demna 's mega-production is super impressive, A+++ story, cast, performance, direction.
He brings a story-telling that was missing after Lallo.
Also the Vanity Fair telling Barbara Gucci:
"From what I know of your father, you're nothing like him.
In fact I am just in shock at what a child you are.
The way you behave .... just so desperate."
I read it as a jab to FHP/Kering.

But I disagree with Monsieur Cristobal, the clothes offering is not strong enough to qualify for the show of the decade, though the production will be difficult to top.
