Gucci 'Tattoo Heart Collection' 2008 : Rihanna by Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin

seems perfect to me. both gucci and rihanna are overrated. :yuk:

^^Who has been overrating Gucci lately...? There's a castle in Jamaica I'd like to sell them .

yea, this isn't the beginning...
remember those horrid gucci hearts ny bags? :ninja::lol:

at least it's for charity...

As soon as I saw that image my mind went straight to Ed Hardy....and it seems I wasn't alone in that.

Seriously, I'm all for charity. But couldn't Gucci just donate the money they used to produce these silly bags and to pay a pop star to promote them to Unicef and call it a day?

It's almost like someone at Gucci is making a conscious decision to make it a punchline...what else could the explanation be?

Nooooooo...! Why did you remind me. Now I'll have nightmares .

Rihanna is soooo overrated, I don't understand why she got hooked up with Gucci in the first place :innocent:

^ I agree, the bags are horrible.. but I like the pose, and Rihanna's body. imo Gucci would of had to uses someone like Rihanna, for the UNICEF campaign. Just for it to get noticed by people. If they used say.. Lily Donaldson or Natasha Poly and the campaign was on the side of a building people would not notice it as much, however with Rihanna its the opposite. Thats what advertiseing is all about :innocent: :flower:

It's so much about being ugly as much as it's about not being right for Gucci. When I see it I think Ed Hardy or something less tasteful even.

I really agree with elle_gb too. Is her tattoo on her mid-section in arabic btw?

Yes, I know it's an ugly campaign and Rihanna does not fit for Gucci. But it is a campaign for UNICEF and well they will get more attention for having Rihanna than a model people will not be able to ID or personally relate to (unless you're well us haha.)

But the Ad itself is ugly.

Hopefully, Gucci is just using Rihanna to appeal to wider audience because it's for UNICEF :innocent:

i completely agree

What is Rihanna doing in a Gucci Ad???
regardless if it's a campaign for Unicef... i agree it is distasteful surrealseven

Oh, I think Rihanna looks fine (if over-photoshopped, who isn't these days) it's the bag that's scaring the bejeesus out of me. Not even LV has produced something so low-rent. (Although there was that year they made those "It" bags that, where I come from, farmers use to transport their produce to sell at the market. Those were LV, right?)
