Guess? Cool or uncool?

 That's what I was going to wear this weekend, Kim

:rofl::p
Has it always been this bad?

I agree that Guess has pretty trashy and tacky clothes. Their purses/bags have elements that copy high end designer bags such as Gucci, Coach and Dior. The tops imo are quite horrid but there are nice items occasionally..like plain sweaters and tops w/o a huge logo...but then..I would rather buy another brand for something plain...Accessories are okay I guess..From what I've observed...a lot of teeny boppers/younger people consider it 'higher end'..at least that's what I saw when I was in high school not too long ago.

Well, Guess isn't cheap, it's moderately priced, about the price point as Banana. Like I used to go crazy at Guess (some of the pieces I have arent that tacky and I still wear them), one day I brought something to school in a really big Guess shopper and everyone was getting all riled up, one girl said "whenever I go to Guess, I never get a bag that big." Guess is still like a power brand in high school.

I agree Guess isn't cheap. I used to get clothes there too..not much, but did buy a couple tops and a pair of jeans there..maybe a bag. Maybe I worded it wrong..but either way I definitely agree with you. ^_^ It's big in high schools..and I think just as long as you find something you like there then it's fine. Just that..I don't enjoy shopping there very much anymore..the styles don't really suit me.

The jeans I have I got for $22 at the outlet store, originally $120. I must of worn them less than 10 times, and they already have two small holes.

Anyway, I think it's a very uninsipired brand. They copy everyone. Triangles on their wallets (Prada), G belts (Gucci), G monogram (Gucci/Coach), J12 watch (Chanel), and they copy the True Religion and Diesel backpockets.

I used to love Guess, but my style has definaltey changed, I haven't been there in about 2 years. Most of it has been sold or is in my "to sell" box, but I kept a few pieces that aren't bad. Their prices are nearing contemporary now, with their new Marciano line.

They can have some cute things once in awhile...I got this jacket a month or so ago and I like it:

A lot of it is extremely tacky, but once in a blue moon you may be able to find something. :)

Horrendously cheap-looking and incredibly overpriced for what it is. And I can't stand the people who work there. They act like they're working at Chanel or something.

Oh god! GUESS jeans.....for me they went down the tude when they hired Anna Nicole Smith for one of their campaignes:innocent: .....It had male model Beiron Anderson in it as well......Personally I think of words like trashy, and tacky when I think of GUESS jeans......:yuk:

uhm i remember when Guess used to be sold @ Target, it was really cheap.
Now it gets more and more expensive (maybe because they still have to pay Paris Hilton for her campaign =.=)but some pieces are really cute: some of the bags are okay, the jeans are not too bad and some of the sandals too.

I have a bunch of shoes and handbags from Guess. But other than that I would never wear their stuff. It's actually way too expensive for me, I'm a little on the very poor side right now.

Sooo trashy and gross. I used to love their tshirts when I was 12 though. XD

There's a girl at my school and everyday she wears guess jeans and she has a HORRIBLE muffin top so I know associate Guess with muffin tops XD

^ at my (small boring rural) high school Guess wasn't even on the Radar-

But you weren't cool unless you wore a $40 t shirt that said A&F, or Abercrombie& Fitch, Abercrombie or I HAVE NO SOUL BECAUSE I SOLD IT TO BUY THIS CRAPPY T-SHIRT at ABERCROMBIE & FITCH

it's cool

I'm not bitter

I don't mind their clothes actually it's only the monogram bags and misc accesories that I think are sorta ugly
