Guess? Cool or uncool?

Hmmm....I think I managed to come across one of the rare good finds on Ebay. Check out item 6872910969 for a good deal.

It is a Guess handbag with a free matching wallet. Their bags are usually pretty expensive, so this is GREAT VALUE

I have a plain black Guess sweater I bought for £10 at a factory outlet store. It does have a smallish red GUESS logo (by that I mean it doesn't take over the top) on it but I think it looks fine personally (I really like it, suits me lots - with jeans and my Dunlops)...especially for a top with a logo on it (some logo tops are fine, and some are bad, just most things in fashion). I'll post a pic of it on me at some point.

Some of Guess' stuff is OK, but I don't go by brand anyway, I go by what looks good on me. (My fashion rule).

Some of the stuff posted in this thread is definitely tacky.

I've never really liked Guess. I've always felt that way about the label but ever since those Paris Hilton ads, I just can't look at any of the products.

hahaha...this is the the definition of "fashion" at my school. it makes me want to vomit, but i generally just close my eyes and try to ignore it.

anyways, about guess, like any other store, there are basic pieces that are okay. the vast majority of it is tacky as can be, however. none of the accessories, EVER. i mean, THIS is bad:

(especially because it's in the "tops" section...oh god...please people, don't wear this alone!)

(and scarily enough, they go up to size 32...i'm sorry if this lacks candor, but these shouldn't be worn in the first place, and if they are, they just shouldn't go above, i don't know, a 27? does your *** not stick out of the back of these things?!?!)

or this (and that's logo "G" pattern in the background of the "GUESS" box...and the description says it's shimmery...)

and they call this the "Fancy" Racerback tank (fancy as in...you can wear it to your formal events?)

but there are some wearable things like...

well...i'm defeated, i checked everywhere on the website. i take it back; guess is completely tacky.

I like Guess, I have a few tops of theirs which are very cute. Their shoes are nice the only bad thing is they never have my size! I LOVE their Jewelry and their baithing suits are cute (some of them though). Oh and their bags and purses are really cute! I havent gone shopping their in awhile, the Guess clothes are expensive though :/

I like the menswear, although I don't find Guess clothing to be reasonably priced. The womenswear is usually SO tacky. One of the "Makeup Girls" at my school today (strange girls who have orange skin overdyed hair and stripper makeup) was wearing that 79$ super cropped denim vest... blagh

Horrendously cheap-looking and incredibly overpriced for what it is. And I can't stand the people who work there. They act like they're working at Chanel or something.

I love guess, i have to admit. sure there is sh*t, but there is sh*t everywhere. i wouldnt judge a store just because it has pieces i think are tacky.

the jeans are cute but way too long for me! but they are still cute and my sister has an adorable pair with rhinestone designs on the butt - not in a tacky way.

i love the jewelry, i always get it as gifts! 4 guess necklaces, one bracelet, and a set of gold bangles/bracelets.

definitely shop sales! cute tank tops and sweaters.

Once I bought a long sleeved top ... after the first wash, got completely ruined ... had a pair of jeans who were decent ... and a merino wool sweater which was OK -my mum kept it-.
