Haider Ackermann - Designer, Creative Director of Canada Goose & Tom Ford

The layout actually elevates the photos.
Great Art direction.

It’s so weird to read Tom Ford and Paris on the same sentence.
The brand really needs to accelerate their presence in the Euro Zone. Beyond opening a store in Paris, it’s maybe time to work on their e-commerce too.
There's a store here on Rue François 1er, although small and kind of dead, unless they closed it ...

I have not been in a Tom Ford boutique in a long while !

Exactly! I wish they included the final layout on those posts…

Sometimes ppl are afraid on include that…i see it often on almost everyone from models, photograpers, stylists, etc…imagine is for not including logos.

And when the layout makes it better you should have the criteria to include it so..

Guys, I'm really nervous for Haider's debut today !!! This is my most anticipated show of this season and I feel we are going to be disappointed. I truly hope I am wrong. 😭

Wow, although I visit Paris and the shopping areas often, I just realized that they don’t have a store in Paris?! :glasses:

Based on their site, the brand is available only in Galeries Lafayette, and only the men's selection.
They had a store back in the day at the angle between Saint Honore and Cambon, just across the then-Colette store. It was a licence if I remember well. But it closed.

Tom was inconsistent and so it was difficult to maintain traction in stores. Most of their international clientele bought it in the US, London or Italy or even Germany but not so much in Paris. And they never really made events and things like that for the local clientele.
I mean, Tom did not even show up for the store opening at the time…

They have a Rue François 1er menswear store but Tom Ford is not really the kind of brands were people queue for.

I know in the US or London, the stores are very lively but in France no.

Haider will undeniably bring more excitement, or at least, generate an attention. But they have to open a store at Rue Saint Honore.

You are right, they were 261 rue St Honoré, corner Cambon in front of the Polish Church and across Chanel, and it's a Dior now (sigh)
But Colette was on the 213 rue St Honoré, same side of the street but much lower, there is the rue de Castiglione and place Vendôme in between, and it's a YSL now (another sigh).

I think for them the ideal place would be the Hotel Costes space (there is Buccelati right now) because the Hotel Costes guests are perfect customers for TF.

I was thinking more about traffic and having maybe a more HF crowd but you aren’t wrong. And there’s the Gagosian gallery not so far too if I remember well. They should take the space where there’s the Graff store. I don’t know how Graff is doing though.

The Graff space would be great ! Anything immediately in or near Place Vendôme fits for Tom Ford. If Charvet ever leaves (I doubt they ever will), that is prime real estate for a brand like Tom Ford.

Except one-of-a-kind stones, diamonds value is literally crashing: - 26% for natural diamonds and - 74% for lab ones. Source:
The whole De Beers group (and stock) is put on sale by their parent company, Anglo-American.
So yes I assume Graff is following the same path as the market.
Anyway the two spaces, Graff and Buccellati, belong to the Costes & Lotti hotels, so Jean-Louis Costes.
