NYLON's latest It Girl scores a major fashion campaign!

We don't mean to brag, but there's something about being a NYLON It Girl that leads to big places.

Last year, Cory Kennedy went from our cover to campaigns for Urban Decay and Sebastian Professional. This year, it looks like it's Harley Viera Newton's turn.

The Los Angeles native with a Madonna-marries-Guy accent and a steady DJ gig at LIT Lounge in New York just scored a DKNY campaign - something previously shot by the ultimate It Girl, Kate Moss. Look for the ads in magazines this February, and check out DKNY.com for clothes that could be featured.

And because we're so damn proud, we've attached all the outtakes from Harley's photo shoot in the NYLON offices this Fall. You know, they might be worth something some day...

I kind of agree with Fashionista on this one - wtf? Who does DKNY plan on appealing to with her use? I've nothing against Harley and I think her style is a step above Cory Kennedy's but it's nothing special.

I actually quite like Harley, it'd probably make me consider buying something from DKNY more than I would now. I don't know why, call me fickle, but through my 17 year old eyes Harley is just.....cooler. She has more positive/aspirational connotations to me than most models, except the few I'm really interested in and 'follow' as such.
