Hedi Slimane signing to PPR-Gucci Group(?)

why is everybody so harsh about kris van assche? we don't even know what he's actually capable of at this juncture. and the hedi era isn't over. he's just moving on....he is still planning to design. i don't know even understand how you can compare him with any of those designers as they were forced to leave their labels....this was hedi's decision to leave. egads, some of you die-hards are really something to behold  you make it sound much worse than it actually is.
I like Kris. Will he continue to design under his namesake label also? It makes sense that Kris would take over for Hedi, after all he was under for a good six years.

the last couple DH collections were more women's wear than men. especially ss07. infact, the cloth flat out looked better on girls. if u look at magazine editorials of chicks in DH, it's much more flattering. i hope with his own label, Hedi would restore the "masculine" part of "androgyny."
Like that runway criss cross neck thing? I don't a single male soul that could pull that off...@ least to my approval.

i don't like kriss.he made only one nice collection stolen everything there from slimane..abfter what?
he prtending to be some margiela ..but there is no such margiela that steals from slimane!
kriss is very mediocre skilled individual.

he do not deserve such label as dior!

people here pretending to talk about design, about cut, about fabrics..but usually i am reading some metaphysic jumpings.

masculie collection..for the masculine part of the androgine..

next-for the androginic part from masculine.
from the feminine part of masculine..etc etc..

let's talk about the fact that there will never be something like DIOR HOMME.

who will push the world forward for next months-i don't know!

telepathicgoat,i am like 45 post.
second ,too..but with some little remarques.

is this really so hot in france..
i took this as metaphore!
poltic elections, hedi 's "free "elecive day

and please,is windowshoping means someone who never buying.or else.

i like last 2-3 lanvin's!

but isn't this because he was assistent of hedi!
today lanvin is nearest to dior than raf!

agree with belle-lettren of #50.
said that this is personal-ann,dries evaluation.

and measuring the talent and gift on the split of art-commercial-fashion is not so productive.

cloth is realithy..we coulnd derive(tirre)..
we couldn't derive it from derived parts of one whole!

dude ur posts are wack!

what the hell are you talking about?

i try to read through the spelling errors, but there's not much left.

and about Lucas Ossendrijver. I live in same street as lanvin store, and my boyfriend works there and there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING that lanvin homme has in common with dior homme

Besides that, Dior homme is wellknown throughout paris to have a sh*tty quality, all styling, no quality.

Dior homme belt& tie are ok ... the rest luk likes stuffs in aldi!!!!
Who said Kris van assche has no talent? and copies stuffs?-> thats bullsh*t!!

are you sure that's correct?

Yeah I believe it's wrong.
I read somewhere the percentage of the DH sales (compared w/ the total sales of the Dior empire) and it was important. How can they loose money with all the people wearing DH? If DH doesn't make money, then how can Yohji/other survive?
Correct me if I'm wrong notwithstanding.

I agree about the Lanvin thing. I kind of like lanvin (the bows, the satin sneakers) but Lanvin is a "hype" or "fashionable" thing, there's no design. That's meant to rich people who like extravagant clothes, but there's no edginess at all, whether it's designed by Alber or Lucas. Lanvin women is more and more bland and ridiculous (2K plexiglas belt?) and although I used to respect it, i'm more prone to think that's it's a new Balenciaga (pseudo and totally artificial modernism) About Lucas, I admit I loved past winter, but I hate the washed "things" thery're selling this summer. Next winter is totally luxe-gangsta-Louis-Vuittonish and, hell, I certainly don't want to wear clothes that Pharrell Williams would buy.

Thank god! I thought I was the only one. I truly can't stand Lanvin's menswear but Lanvin's womenswear is not quite as pathetic. It is forced chic, because it's not chic, or elegant, or sophisticated, it's just strange clothes that are trying to be fashion...Quite unfortunate.

Absolutely adore Lanvin. I can't see how Hedi is going to excite us anymore. Look at Tom Ford, yeah, he might be back but what's new? I do like that guy though.

I think the concept behind Lanvin men's is not to cater to the same market as Dior Homme, it's not even meant to be about a total 'look', rather than outstanding separate pieces, in believably luxe fabrics.

Alber's vision for Lanvin had always been about an elegance with a comfortable undertone. It's never been about overtly-sharp, precise tailoring, and most of his women's garments were often left with frayed edges, washed surfaces or broken textures to accentuate that imperfect touch. It's a language that Lucas is translating into the menswear, and I find it lightyears different from what people like Pharrell Williams would wear... to me, this is looking a lot more Belgian, like a luxed-up Margiela with a dandy-ish playfulness (as in the bow-ties, patent loafers and parachute-silk parkas).

because yohji & the others don't throw their money around like hedi did.

like the exclusive contracts with all the models... the huge atelier... every season they only used like 10% of the clothes the atelier made, the rest they just threw away.

from the stories i've heard it was a crazy money-leaking company..

you are so wrong, the clothes are very subtle and introvert.
not 'luxe-gangsta-louis-vuitton' at all.
