Hedi Slimane, who has contemporary artists create fitting rooms for his Dior Homme stores, just can’t keep himself away from that world. This fall, the designer will share the ultrahip Paris art gallery Almine Rech with two large-scale works by James Turrell. For his part, Slimane plans to show images from his new photo book, “Stage,” in slide and wallpaper formats. The show bows Sept. 11.

:woot: i dont believe my luck, i will be in Paris for the show,

i never knew he had artists decorating the Dior Homme fitting rooms,
what an adorable idea

The Stage book is well done, but a little disappointing. I'm jealous, Lena, and I want to hear your report!

9/11? hmm.. :innocent:

eta: sorry, back to the topic. is he done with the fitting rooms yet? i want to drop by a dior homme store just to see that :P

Damn.. credos to him!

BUT BUT BUT.. Mr Heidi.. could you please focus more on your design of Dior HOMME!

Did I say FOCUS?!!!! I am getting disappointed that with all other projects that he have.. it seems to be taking away times he should be on designing clothing...

OOOO ! have fun lena

i visited almine rech website, some interesting artists! i will stop by the
gallery when in paris.

arte-tv( french/german ) is airing a biographie on slimane tonight or tomarrow... i wish i could watch .

it will have some footage of phoenix :P ^_^

i find it very refreshing for a designer to 'multitask' in different
artistic projects, keeps creativity in quite high level.

it can be quite autistic and boring designing clothes and stricktly clothes
season in season out :P

See, the problem I have with this, if he wasn't a designer for Dior, would his other "art" endevours get so much attention? I guess I'll have to see to really judge, but it is a concern...

of course he's getting attention mainly because he does this kind of work at Dior Homme, this goes without saying dear faust
