Have to admit that Hedy has perfect face, but what do u think about her performance? i only watched Samson and Delilah when i was a kid, too long i couln't give out my judgement on her act, recently i watched a Comrade X's trailer, i think her act is not so good, but it's really not fair if i only base it on a trailer, i really want to hear other comments from you guys

I haven't seen much of her acting either, only some bits from Lady of the Tropics. And I believe her acting is rather lacklustre...actually many actors and actresses back then seemed wooden because of the dramatic style of acting. But true, her face was impeccable!

ya i agree with you, "wooden" is exact word that i wanted to use to describe when i watched the her clip, anyway her amazing beauty and extraordinary intelligence impressed me much enough to adore her

IMO, Hedy is probably the most beautiful classic actress. She had such a perfect face, and her personal life was absolutely fascinating.

Yup, you're right!! But her hair is darker of course, and I always got the impression that Hedy was more statuesque- Vivien was very petite, right?

ya i agree with you, sometime Hedy look like statuesque in her portraits, but her beauty is amazing indeed, too perfect so that sometime look like a picture, a drawing, not real hope u understand what i mean ...

I actually much prefer Vivien, and my english is really not good enough to describe her beauty, i dont know how to say when i look at her photo and her movie, she was too cute..not only her childhood, even when she's mature, there's always something very cute in her smile, her eyes are so beautiful..aiya..can't stand

I think she beautiful, but I still prefer Gene Tierney face over hers..Gene had glowing eyes,..Heidi looks blandish beautiful..just there, she honestly wasn't that Unique..cause Vivivan Leigh did look similar to her. Like I said Before Heidi looks better in candids.

I think they are very different women. Gene is beautiful but has more of a cute edge for me, whereas Hedy was very sophisticated, had gorgeous colouring and seemed so exotic. Even though she and Viv do look similar, I don't think that means Hedy isn't unique, or vice versa.
