Wow Guessgirl96 that theme totally beats the crap outta mine! For the 2019 party I went dressed up as one of my lecturers, as I plan on killing her and stealing her job and assuming her entire life in the next 10 years!!

^Thank you so so much! Quite horribly though,I now have a rather big flare up of psoriasis on my left elbow,which means I'm now looking for a dress with sleeves :-/ BUT I think I may have found one! Eva Green and character inspire me a lot!

My sister in law is really into fantasy lord of the rings sci-fi type stuff so we're going to comic con in SF in a few months. I want to do mystique from x men but I need to find someplace to get prosthetic lizard skin or something. If I go as her I want to do it right and not just stencil the scales. Silk spectre ii is my backup, I know a place that does really good custom costumes so that'll be a lot easier. I love dressing up

^ Prosthetic lizard skin does not sound comfortable I would think you would want to take the opportunity to stock up on MAC stuff & do some serious body painting

nouzeau riche is hard... All I can think of logo tackiness, blond hair and orange tan but I think thats what everyone will do. Maybe barrow someones tiny dog?

This is the best mystique costume I could find. I'm thinking of trying something similar but cutting out leather or foam latex pieces, gluing them onto tights in sheets and applying that to my body. Definitely a project to try when I'm done with finals.

I am trying to avoid fake logo tackiness, since i'll have to buy some new pieces
(my wardrobe isn't very nouveau riche ) and I hope I could wear them more then once..

I was thinking something like a collard tennisshirt (popped ofcourse ) in
some pastelcolour. Maybe some big black sunglasses..

I wore a black lace dress from Asos in the end and everyone said I could have been Elektra King which wasn't my intention but woohoo! I also happened to be the biggest winner in the casino

I'm looking for a ball dress (dress code - strictly formal with mask, university's masquerade ball!), nothing fancy though. I'm a bit of Alexa Chung type of girl, wearing t-shirts, skinnies, cardigans and short dresses, don't really have any nice 'official' dress.
Going shopping to London on Friday and was hoping for some advice. Cannot spend more than £100
