Harry Gruyeart is the photographer. Such a terrific campaign, it just oozes luxury, subtle decadence and a hint of mystery. One of the best campaigns of recent times, other luxury brands take note!
Such a beautiful campaign ... remind me of those in the late 80s. They're just so good at conveying luxury as mere appreciation for simplicity and quality and a lifestyle of pleasure and full awareness of a landscape, completely opposite of the idea that excess, oblivion and opulence as the epitomes of it. I like how it all seems so private... they did well with the lighting, at first it did strike me as a little too dark but I think it stops the viewer on his tracks and invites him to look at it and maybe daydream for a while.. kind of like a memory and the details that pop out when you reminiscent. I think the clarity of contemporary campaigns, as lovely as it can be, sometimes makes the mood so easy to grasp that it's also easier to like and then to move on. This is so textured and rich and at the same time has such a hidden feel to it that you just want to be there... or better yet, recreate it.
I'm usually not into that kind of tableware, but that looks stunning...
