the ando email thing is funny...

i don't really like sylar as a villain.. :ermm:
he's bad and all but i don't think the actor is all that great..
i find him to be a little too fake and forced at times..

and another thing..
i feel like there are inconsistencies with the whole immortal Adam thing..
Peter & Nathan's mother was saying that one shot through the head would do it..
but I don't think that would kill him!
doesn't that just seem like something else he would heal from!?

possible spoilers for those who haven't seen the last few episodes highlighted in white:
claire's dad got shot in the eye/head and healed from it when given claire's blood
claire survived when she was stabbed in the head with that piece of wood in the first season..
peter survived that shard of glass to the head in the first season..
if claire could grow back her toe after cutting it off then a simple bullet wound should be easy enough imo..

i just don't see why a bullet to the head would kill off adam or anyone like claire/peter who can regenerate.. :ermm:

^No. Powers come from the brain, that's why Sylar chops off heads and eats the brain. If Adam gets shot through the head, his brain is gone.
 
and when claire and peter had objects in their head they were dead, until someone removed those objects. so if a bullet stayed in adams head, he would be dead imo
 
^Well, I was thinking the bullet would make the brain explode apart and have no hope of regrouping.

ewww does he really eat the brain?? i never understood how that worked..
i got the opening up the skull part and the brain removal..
i just didn't get what he did with the brain once he took it..

i think the situation with claire's dad.. shot in the head but brought back shows that this wouldn't happen...

i guess kochie is probably right.. they just wouldn't remove the bullet..
but if it went through then i think he could survive it..
because the healing ability was in the blood...
 
the last episode was soooooo dissapointing for me... I was expecting more...

It's just me or it was it just too "light" ?
 
^^i actually thought it was really good after reflecting on it a bit...
i really want to see what happens next..

which is what a season finale needs to do..
leaves people wanting more, and leaves them intrigued enough that they will continue watching..
even after a long break..

As much as I love Zachary Quinto on a visual level I have to agree with this. Sylar is just a little too comic book for me - the other day I was taking into account the season and I don't think that Sylar is scary or unsettling at all. If anything his actions border on being camp. He's like one of the villains they used to have on the old Batman with Adam West. I just can't take him seriously. Plus I'm really worried about the next part of the season after hiatus - its entitled "Villains" and that worries me since the show seems almost completely incapable of crafting three dimensional evildoers. I'm starting to get sick of Sylar in all honesty - his crimes seem like a schtick at this point.

I feel like there are general large scale issues in character development all in all. The only person who has remained consistent is Mr. Bennett - his awesomeness has never once been compromised. Some of the characters have evolved - I think Matt is much much more interesting this season than last and we got to see a different side of Nathan so thats all good but when it comes to some of the other characters...ugh. Just don't get me started. I can barely even watch Mohinder's scenes anymore.

And there needs to be a 85% increase in the amount of Ando. What have they given him to do this season except wait around for Hiro? Its so depressing - I always thought that he was a cute character. Seeing him sit around pining for Hiro is like watching a teen girl get stood up on prom night every week.
 
^^i think you make a lot of good points luxx..
"camp" is the perfect way to describe how sylar has been..
especially this season with his breathy voice, those weird facial expressions/looks and his interactions with maya..
it just seems so forced and fake..

also, good point about the character development...
though peter was in a bunch of episodes and is clearly learning to control his powers i don't think his character has evolved too much..
i'm anticipating something for him in this villains chapter..
especially considering what happened with nathan in the season finale and the realization that adam was using him/betraying him..

i didn't really like anything about nikki's character this season..
don't know what direction that could have gone in and i'm guessing that that may have something to do with the way things ended in the last episode..
it's like she's outgrown any usefulness :ermm:
though it was pretty cool to see her beat up/pistol-whip that gangbanger or whatever you want to call him :p

i think hiro's storyline turned out to be interesting and very clever this season..
when he got dropped back into the past at the end of last season i had no idea what was going to happen but i think that turned out to be an interesting turn of events and helped him to evolve into a more serious, less naive character..
 
Is Heroes affected by the writers bloc as well? Does anyone know then the third season will air?
 
I agree Chrissy that Hiro became more interesting I loved him in the finale this time around when he is fighting Peter. He had the seriousness of Future Hiro mixed with the innocent look of current Hiro and it was really interesting to watch. Especially when he came at Peter and was like "Then you have chosen the wrong side." Masi is one of the better actors on the show, his intensity is great.

Sofia, Heroes is affected by the writers strike too. I'm not entirely sure when the second portion of the new season will start up but I hope its soon.
 
^^yes! good observations about hiro.. i definitely agree..
there is an added level of seriousness which definitely reflects his growth as a character..

but i like that there are also glimpses of the old hiro.. like when he saw nathan with matt outside of the paper factory and raised his arms in triumph because he was glad to seeh him (like he did several times in season one, when he first got to NY for example)
 
^ Matt's reaction was so priceless! "Who's that guy supposed to be?" I love how clueless Matt is sometimes and I actually had forgotten that he and Hiro never really interacted at all last season outside of 5YG, so they are in fact strangers.

This actually reminds me of one my favorite scenes from the last episode with Matt flying on Nathan's back! :lol: I think its cute that they're never going to talk about it again...at least not until the next time it happens.

I'm really hoping that after the hiatus there will be more Hiro and Ando together. Those two are so fun together - I loved their misadventures all last season.

last year's season was ridiculously short... :ermm:
 
and now i have to wait again until 02. feb. to see episode 14!
that's soooo mean.
 
i actually stopped watching partway through this season :ermm:

the show just sort of stopped holding my interest...

i didn't watch the episode where there was another eclipse and everyone lost their powers.. so the last episode i saw was the one before that...
and even those episodes i only watched half-heartedly..
i wasn't really liking the direction the show was going in...
