In all fairness though, Balmain's been borrowing from Herve Leger's territory with all of those bondagey micro-minidresses Christophe's been doing lately.

So really, it's Balmain that looks like Leger.

As expected, the collection has lots of sex appeal and the max's skill of the handling those bandage are still divine. Nice collection!

Herve Leger is one of those things that should have only happened as a collaboration with some other designer for one season...
i feel like after the latest collection (yes, the one we've seen EVERYONE in hollywood wear, and every magazine put on the cover as the hottest, newest, smartest, sexiest thing ever) no more should ever been produced.... this sounds very weird of course but i just cant imagine yet another season seeing nothing but these horribly tight dresses and not even being something "new" this time around... after the initial "OH-GOOD-LORD-HOW-VERY-TIGHT-AND-FABULOUS"-shock of last season i dont see the allure in any of these!

^ I was at this show and it was fantastic! There were so many good things going on here that you haven't seen yet. When the photographs are available you will see this collection was very good. And the sunning suits were FANTASTIC!

That's my main problem with Herve Leger to begin with. It's a very dated look, very early 90's glamazon in a minidress and big hair, and that's kind of it. Obviously they revived it because vintage Leger was a trend last year, but to me there was no point because the short bandage dresses are all the Leger name is known for.

That said, I applaud Max for at least attempting to expand on it.
