i'll admit she looks nice on the front of elle however she is SO stupid. i'm sorry - she is the most untalented precocious 'child star'... her singing is rubbish and her acting is equally as dire. so many people have so much more talent than her. what a thicko.

Think Hilary Duff's just a goodie-two-shoes for the tween set? She ditches that too-sweet side in the new issue of Elle, taking on her critics in a cover story for the magazine's July issue.
Asked about the fluffy nature of most of her films, she responds, "Um, are you saying my movies are crap?"
Even if Elle doesn't, there's no denying the critics' response — after all, The New York Times' Stephen Holden called her "talent-challenged." "He doesn't really fit the demographic," Duff replied. "So I could really care less. Look at me, and look at where he is — sorry! Would he prefer that I take some super-adult role that is inappropriate so I would have no place to grow? ... Suppose the next thing I did was this super-edgy independent movie where I was pregnant or shooting up. What would that do to my fan base?"
She also has no love for the music critics and radio programmers who dismiss her pop music. "I feel like I do so much," she tells the mag. "And it strikes me that I don't hear myself on the radio. Actress and singer Hilary Duff makes a stop to stock up on liquids to combat the hot Los Angeles weather as she runs errands. The star stopped by a Starbucks for a drink and decided to grab herself a bottle of water as well before heading off to her Mercedes car and driving home.

I think she knows pretty well her acting sh*t and her music pure crap but that's what's giving her all that money to spend.Plus, the fact she probably enjoyes do it.
I think it's cool she sounds real and mature for one and isn't like "my tip for making new friends is...." "That's sweet" but she was rude. Then what does she think about Evan Rachel Wood or any other young actress who takes serious roles?

Look at lLindsayLohan, she is climbing out of the kiddie film image and she did it step by step. But duff is just taking two steps back EVERYTIME she does a film. She keeps doing the kiddie films over and over again. I hear she has like 3 coming out this year.
Soon she is going to be yesterdays news and no one will bother with her.

It's not Hollywood at all," the Good Charlotte rocker says of his Waldorf, Md., hometown. "I want her to see that different life and take her to the jobs I used to have – unloading trucks, making pizzas and waiting tables."
And Duff is also teaching her beau a little about her way of life: She's giving Madden pointers for his acting debut in the movie Valley of the Damned, which starts filming this month. "My girlfriend has been really helpful – she's a great little actress," he told us at the House of Hype swag suite in Beverly Hills recently.
The last thing this world needs is yet another singer crossing over into acting.
