Horror Movies?

I don't like horror movies but the Ring managed to creep me out pretty badly.

Haha same here. I get really petrified just thinking about it. I watched it at the theater when it came out and it was the first and the last time I will see that film.

Anyway, horror Japanese flicks really scare the s!!! out of me! Japanese filmmakers makes the scariest movies, imo.

I watched a bunch of horror movies that I hadn't seen yet this past halloween. My favourite was definitely Rosemary's Baby!

Forget horror movies!

All I really need is Unsolved Mysteries... that's the only thing on the television that could truly freak me out...
haha as a kid, i used to hate show; and that means it was really scary.. the guy's voice, the music :ninja: same for X-files

i like..
The Ring
28 Days Later

and now X-files reruns
I like horror movies that are maybe not scary but are nice to look at
also loathe bloody horror

I normally can't stand horror movies, too afraid to watch. But I recently saw House of Wax and Prom Night, and they're pretty good!! :P I mean, I didn't have a nightmare afterwards :innocent:

one of the best horror films I've seen in the last couple of years is The Descent. it's just so good. I also loved French film Haute tension. but the film that really got to me cos it was just so disturbing is House of 1000 corpses.

I actually like Horror Movies - but I never watch them in the cinema :P :ninja: haha. I always have to be able to press the pause-button when it gets too scary... I'm just a scaredy cat. But I really enjoyed classic ones like Ring or Scream.

^ I'm kinda different, I can't watch them alone at home. :P I have to go to the cinema where there are more people around and girls to scream with me together.

none of the movies I have seen has ever scared me
but the ones I like best are :
Suspiria
Hasta el viento tiene miedo (mexican 1960s)
omen I and II and IV
monster club
mum and dad
and when I was a kid I loved all the poltergeist ones

i saw The Exorcism of emily rose few days ago it was the scariest movie iv seen in a while fact that its based on true story its even scarier :ninja:

I still have to sleep with the light on after watching a horror movie.

L'orfanato (sp.?) was one of the most disturbing horror movies I have ever seen! It is a Spanish horror film.

I saw The Haunting of Molly Hartley...and it was terrible! (The bathroom in Nordstrom???!!! lol...)

I recently watched Sainte Ange with Lou Doillon and Virginie Ledoyen. I really like it. It was along the lines of The Others and The Orphanage but it didn't lay things out as clearly.

Another movie that I haven't seen mentioned is "The Changeling" . This movie scared my sister and I soooo bad! It is a late 70's horror film and it is about a haunted house (haunted by a young boy)...this wheelchair that belonged to the little boy wheels around by itself and he throws a ball down the stairs....

Anyone else seen this? I think that George C. Scott was in it!

Scary as *#!!.......

It was the first horror movie I ever saw. I was around 6 or 7, that scene with the wheelchair on the top of the stairs freaked me out so much that my mom had to go with me to the first floor of my house for a month cause I didn´t want to walk up the stairs alone  also the sound of the boy banging the little tub was really creepy :ninja:
I´m downloading it to watch it again.

i love suspense like those^ more than horror/gorey

i watched Teeth over easter
it's not horror.. more like sci-fi or plain weird and silly.
but it was under a listing for horror ...

I saw The Return of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre with Renée Zellweger and Matthew McWhatshisname and it was terrible. :ninja:

Can't wait to see Drag Me to Hell.

Ju-on and Ju-on 2. Japanese films that were the basis for the Grudge films.
When you see that old woman with the basketball you will hide in your popcorn.

I'm kind of a horror movie freak :ninja: Can't stand the kind of "horror movies" people are putting out these days, though. Too in-your-face, too much gratuitous gore...the best horror films are the ones that keep the monster behind closed doors...
