How do I clean my white shoes???

Hey everyone. I recently wore my white vans slip-ons to a party and at the end of the evening the tops had marks of black/brown. I threw them in the washer with some Tide detergent. It cleaned them up alright, but there are still noticable marks, and they arent small... Does anyone have any tips? Should I throw them in again? Thanks alot for your help, you're going to save my shoes!!

you should try some oxy-clean...that stuff really works. or use some Shout and let it sit for awhile then wash them again.

yeah i have shout action gell, i think i am going to try that when i get back home. i wasnt sure if it was ok to use those products on the canvas material.
