Keeping White Shoes Clean

i got a pair of white twill and leather sneaker and really want to keep them white. Im particularly afraid of the dye rubbing off my jeans which apears to happen all the time. Anyone ever try scotch guard or know of any other solutions?

^honestly the only way i have been using is not to wear them with jeans. ti's almost guaranteed that the jeans will stain the shoes
