wow that puts me to shame :ninja:

So this is my closet. Small space, I just added the white cubbies that go up all the way to the ceiling, and such.

To the left, most of my blacks and basics, shelves with pants folded and black boxes with accesories and more sheleves for bags and bottom shelves for shoes.

To the right, all boring and off seasons.

next to the closet, my lime green drawers, more tees, other drawer is pills and personals, and bottom is underwear :brows:

im a mess.

thanks legyviel.
alejandro i absolutely love your style! i thought you'd have a mini-warehouse for your stuff!

loves - I want that closet!!!!!!! I´ll move to a new flat in a few months and I so much want a walk-in closet!!!

Alejandro - I have the same heart shaped glasses!!!!

We live in a mid century home with small, basic closets. I need a place to put my shoes AND folding clothes. With only two shelves, it doesnt leave much room.. *Sigh* one can dream!

yay, nice too see this thread being bumped.. :D

Loves, that's really lovely. ! I certainly wouldn't mind having that :P

Ale, wow I too would have imagined that your closet was bigger..
as in had it's own zip-code bigger
...

I pretty much live in moving boxes, so no new pics from me.. :(

The title of this thread implies my closet is organized, which it is not. I suppose you could describe it as an "organized mess," but my parents and I generally refer to it as just "a mess."

I don't really know where to start, in terms of pointing things out. My closet sort of occupies my entire room; the items on the left are all pieces that I wear on a daily basis but have yet to hang up. In my actual closet, you can see heavy coats on the left; Disneyland memorabilia in the center; pajamas on the floor; and more Disneyland memorabilia on the bottom left.

funny... that looks like my room...
it's a real mess for me too...
every morning i try some many things on - eventhough my look is basics and casual... but we're not supposed to say that, right? keep it secret - that even if i cleaned my room the day before... in the morning it's a real chaos...
then i just quickly put everything away... in an already messed closet...
but there's one shelf for the tshirts, one for the jeans, one for the sweater...
then i have a hanging wardrobe for the shirts and jackets and coats....
but it's sooo small that sometimes one shirt is on another one... a hoodie on another one... etc.
then two boxes for underwears and socks... where my belts are, too...
my bags and shoes are in the hanging wardrobe or somewhere in my room...

i really need more place...and something like loves has, is really amazing... eventhough i doubt i would have enough to full it up...maybe actually... when you have the same basic white shirt in 5...:innocent:same for black and brown....

All of my things are organized by type and then by color. Same thing with shoes but they're along the bottom of the closet. My belts and purses are on hooks on the inside of each door. How are you guys storing accessories? I've yet to figure that out and always have to hunt for things in my bin.

Well im sad that i didn't meet closet expectations

I had gotten rid of a lot of things, mostly because I keep moving to smaller closets and sharing spaces is a bit hard, so you have to compromise. I do have some stuff boxed up and whatnot, but I dont really have a lot of clothes and whatever.

i either organize my closet from newest to oldest
or by brand

My closet was torn apart recently so I have to put it back together again. It's a walk-in, but in the shape of a triangle. That makes it especially hard to put drawers and cabinets in. I want to paint the walls and get some good storage set up. Then maybe it will be camera-worthy.

This thread is so interesting! :woot: I wanted to post some photos of my closet! But my dearest brother took the camera to work!

But I used to have all my clothing in my closet and some plastic cabinets for my magazines! But I updated it recently and placed 2 wooden shelf like things and place my favorite magazines there! So it is like a closet/library! In the top section I have toys and stuffed animals/Disney characters! :rolleyes:And just some jeans and jackets and shirts, my other clothing is in the other closets in my garage!

 My friends think I am such a NERD/NEAT freak....because I am TOO organized! I will take some photos and post them here!! :innocent:

I wonder if there is a thread on "What does your room look like?" It is very interesting to see the stuff others have and how they personalize their sanctuary or room! :woot:

Hugs and I will post hopefully tomorrow or this weekend! :flower:

Oooh, I love this thread! Thanks for all the photos!

So, here's my weird question - do any of you colorize? And if so, in what order?

My clothes in my closets, drawers and shelves are by general category and then by color. The order I use is white, black, brown, and then the color spectrum I learned as a kid: violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange and red.

I'm not sure if this is the most useful order - stores seem to do it differently. A few people mentioned organizing by label/brand, but I do so much mixing that color is the most important for me in putting together looks.

^I normally colorize as well, well not now since I don't have the space for it.
Normally the order I use is black, browns, greys, whites. Then purples, blues, greens, yellows, oranges, pinks and the multicolored patterns..

I guess it's somewhat like yours. I just try to follow the order that crayons are put in when you buy a big packet.
