VS is where it's at. at least here in North America. being the TOP girl for Victoria's Secret means mucho millions, as well as much more fame (which, obviously, tranlates into more job opportunities and even more $$$).

i'm sure that of every model that's out there right now, and when we see next year's "Forbes" list, the WORKING models who are earning the most will be:

Gisele
Kate
Karolina
Alessandra Ambrosio
Carolyn Murphy
Adriana Lima

(models like Heidi Klum, Tyra Banks, Elle MacPherson, etc etc === they all make millions, but it's from their other brands, things not directly from their modelling work).

but there are alot of girls who don't have multi-million dollar contracts who are surely raking in a ton of money. Doutzen, Raquel, Caroline, Gemma, Stam, etc etc. i'd bet any money that these girls all made over a million last year.

I have other agencies, and when I work elsewhere it's usually 40% that's coming off my check as their cut (20/20, mother agency and other agency)

Im sorry but that really isn't normal. The maximum amount agency(s) should be taking is 20% in total. My mother agent/manager takes 10% and my print agency takes 10%. They can decide between themselves how to split the 20%, but it shouldn't be more than 20% total. In the states, anyway.

my friend makes a nice salary, and she isnt a top girl, does shows in ny, milan. especially catalogues, and specifically campaigns, in february she got a small campaign, where she made 13,000 for a days work. not bad for a 16 year old.

In hedge-fund management, for example, I think it's safe to say that even the little kids in the playground get to go to the sweetie shop after school...

That's not uncommon at all. Regardless of how famous or unfamous you are campaign pays off big time. They bring in more money than any model job.

I think that's because most of us are taking into account tax is inevitable for no matter what amount you are earning

So true. A lot of times the catalogue jobs that are by no means "glamorous" or "coveted" bookings are the jobs that bring a model the most money. Of course, if you're a top girl, you probably will be getting high-paying jobs that are the coveted bookings, but if you're not a "top" girl, you can make so much money simply doing catalogue and print jobs. A lot of people don't realize how much money is in those.

Probably biggest paid models are now;Gisele,Kate,Karolina,Alessandra,Adriana.Gisele is certainly the highest paid model in the world.I don't think anyone beat her on near future.KK VS contract worth is 25 million$ and its said that its for 50 days for work.Alessandra's vs contract worth more than 25 million$ for 3 years.And on fabulous life of supermodels its said that carmen at least get 50 thousand per runway. show.
Those girls are a goldmine for their agencies!

I have heard that around $1500 a day or ($150 an hour)for print work (including catalog) is about average for the steadily working girls at the bigger agencies in NY ... less in other cities. But is can vary widley ... it really depends on your popularity, your agency, how well they negotiate rates for you and what the clients are willing to pay.

I know this probably was asked, but how much exactly do male models make for...a days work at a regular print job? How much for runway work?

i know someone's agency is asking for $300 USD per hr and up or $3500/day and up for photoshoot, but he's real pro and have done a lot pretty well known campaign"s", i guess for the top model the agency will gives the "stander" rate and hence they are so busy, the client will likely offers more to get them. btw, that rate is before agency takes out the share.

can be $0, modeling job is like artist, you only get pay when you get jobs, sometimes model do free photoshoot to expand their book or gain exposure. local runway pays as little as a pair of jean or 200-300 and agency take at lease 15% out of that.
