How to become a MTV VJ

i was wondering if anybody knows,how can you get a job on mtv as a vj?or any host?

well your from Canada so mtv canada im not sure but muchmusic has the yearly vj search. Maybe you should email MTV and get some info.

Actually they aren't allowed to play music videos according to Canadian broadcasting regulations, only Much is. This is literally the reason why they don't play videos and they can't play anything longer that a designated clip length. Instead, they are owned by the CTV media group and as mentioned, are pretty much just a vehicle to broadcast MTV programming. As for becoming a host, have you looked on their site? My guess is that they go to talent agencies in Toronto, get them to send people for auditions when they need a new host, and it goes from there.

thanks for the info Meg.i'm just getting very tired of my old job,and looking for a job in the music business.i dont know what else is there...
i love music and i'd love to work as a host or either have some job on the set of shooting music videos...don't know...
