i-D May 2008 : Agyness Deyn

As I said earlier in the thread (yet for some reason everyone completly egnored my post) I have seen all the covers and I think they are realeasing them all except the first one also they are still debating wheather to put ICON or just simply Agyness across the cover.

i dont know how these covers were put on a russian website when the issue hasnt yet been sent to print (still put them on my blog though hahaha:innocent:)

^but what ISNT manufactured?
Dont tell me that Kate Moss isnt because she is. Everything we see in the public is manufactured like a product. And for me I do like Kate Moss but she is certainly a product .. a carefully manufactured product. Aggyness is very smart imo , she knows how to milk everything for what its worth how many other models can do that? . :p

oh trust me, i agree with you. Kate Moss is manufactured, but Kate's case is completely different as to Agyness' because Kate has been in this industry for so long & i feel as if if Agyness was to be in the industry as long as Kate AND been through the things kate has beenthrough she wouldn't be able to live up to Kate's standards & status. :flower: :flower:

& comparing Kate & Agyness IMO is just propostrous, poor Kate that she has to be even compared to Agyness.

As i said before, i don't hate Agyness. I just am not moved or impressed with her antics or image, it takes more than "different" style to impress me, not saying that's all that impresses her fans but   She does seems nice backstage. :flower: As i've said, and i'll say it again, i don't hate Agyness, there are only two models i will go as far as saying i hate so.... ;)

She became a product and she certainly is one now, but she did not start as something manufactured. She was not created to be someone in particular. She grew into it that is very very different.

I do not agree at all that the general public likes her or that cares what the hell she's doing, the English media wants us to be interested in her disregarding the fact that most people are baffled why she keeps popping up in every newspaper. I never heard anyone( besides people that are really interested in fashion) talking about her, curious about her boyfriends, what she wears, what she does or trying to emulate her, that what makes a popular personality. The media is trying very hard to turn her into something that she is not and she and her gang do believe their own hype, and that's absolutely irritating in my opinion.

its not that bad. thanks for posting

we dedicate an entire issue to just one person.
One issue, full of her? Now I can't wait to get my hands on this! I hope I can get the paint all over her face.

One issue entirely dedicated to one person? I don't think she is important enough and too one dimensional for an entire issue...

The fashoin press is pushing hard for a new Brit girl icon a la Kate Moss...even Perez Hilton is. I'm just not sure that is ever the smartest move, I don't know if Agyness is as enigmatic as Kate...for this to work well...

I didn't know she was such a polifacetic woman

Exactly. The point with Kate was that she didn't court the attention (in such an obvious way, at least) Agyness clearly loves all the attention, I'm sick of her, she's just so contrived.

The cover where she is naked is just awful.:ninja:
