Im afraid I went through the magazine 3 times, and I couldnt find what you asked for, do you have any more info on it? :flower:

Re: Cover

Johnny always looks hot in white pants
Natalia always looks hot, period.

I approve! :)

For me, the cover is the latest in the long line of model & musician covers that UK Vogue has done (cf Christy Turlington & Bono, Gisele & Robbie Williams) so I don't mind it that much, even though it looks like he's got a sanitary towel slung over his shoulder.

And oh yes, I filled in that survey. And made it clear that Miss V is nothing but an irrelevance. To be honest, my main complaint about the magazine is that it thinks London is the start and end of the universe, and that the rest of the UK only exists as a backdrop to weekend cottages where people from the city can pretend they're eco-chic because they own six hens. It wouldn't hurt them to consistently expand their vision beyond the capital.

^ is the survey inside the magazine? I hope i didn't throw it away. Miss V is so boring :rolleyes:

I wouldn't mind 1-2 pgs of Miss V, but the section seems to go on forever. Maybe if it were simply two solid pages of small pictures of people's outfits, that would be more interesting, but as it stands, I don't read the text anymore.

If your issue had the survey, it would be hard to miss, as it was a big white leaflet, the same size as the issue itself. I would have suggested purloining one from another issue and slipping it inside the next magazine you go to buy, but I've just remembered UK Vogue comes bagged this month, with that supplement.

I think Johnny is pretty handsome, i mean he is not my first love or anything but he usually looks nice, but these pics are just really bad! another gastly cover for uk vogue:doh: and could they perhaps have found someone a bit more interesting than Johnny Borrell, the guy is such a joke:rolleyes:

But what a beautiful Daria ed! When all others fail miserably Roversi always delivers :crush:

Thanks for scanning sethii:flower:

There's a small image inside where his face looks much better, but her pose is slightly awkward, so I do feel that if they'd taken a few more shots, they would gotten an better one, where both of them looked good.

In the survey, they asked about the idea of having men on the cover, I responded that I didn't mind - I quite like the dynamic it brings to an image.

can you ask them to use a better font?

IM SICK OF TEXT
LIKE THIS ALL
OVER THE COVER

There is even an article in this issue about typography...they should read it :ninja:

You can also write to Alexandra Shulman about these things - I wrote to her years ago, commenting on the cover of one issue, and she responded with a personal letter, explaining her rationale behind what she'd chosen. I will never forget that she spent the time to do that, with one reader, even if her reply was a bit stern, like being told off by a teacher for disagreeing with a set idea.

Moreover, I wrote because a friend in Spain had written to her about something, and she'd replied to her - so Alexandra doesn't ignore her readership outside of the UK either. It seems you don't have to be English for this editor to see you as important, you simply have to be an interested reader, wherever you may be.

^ you took the words right out of my mouth, that was what I was going to write sethii:lol: ;)

and I agree the fonts are always the same it gets boring:ermm:

I'll tell you what I wrote to her about - it was the issue where the UK version got TV actresses on the cover, but the export version got Carolyn Murphy on the cover. November 2002. Ulrika Johnsson, Amanda Holden, someone out of Cold Feet and Tamsin Outhwaite. I mean, come on! None of them were/are known for having fashion sense or flair. They're just ordinary people. I think I just wanted to know why this travesty of a cover came about.

And this is that cover. Sorry for the meander this thread has taken today, but at least we are still on-message, talking about UK Vogue...

^ :shock::cry:

How did she defend that?

I really hope the streak of model covers in 2007 continues  Maybe they will even use a new girl :magic:

 I love this post...but I agree with what your saying!

Sethii, I hate the font too  They should use the same as Vogue Paris at least! THE ONE LIKE THIS WHICH I ABUSE :p

I did not get the survey with mine, I'm really quite disappointed about that!

I think it's great that Alexandra Schulman does respond to reader letters. Seriously, I too would love to know how she defended that horrendous TV personalitys cover ( I don't use the word actress as Ulrika is not one) when were any of that lot ever known for being stylish?!
