They should've only gone with the second cover. Not sure where to look on the first one, lips, lollipops or the Benetton covers.

It looks like it will be yet another long Walker feature, set in a white room, with all of London's youth. The charm of his images for ID was mostly the set design. Strip that away now and you're left with an army of unimpressive and OTT youth pulling crazy and overcompensating poses. At least there's more focus on the styling, I suppose.

After watching Ghost in the Shell, Adwoa has a new fan in me. Love her solo cover
the rest seems like same old same old Tim Walker, not sure I´m longer a fan of that...

What awful covers, I wouldn't get this if it was free. For this type of ed, they should've gone with another photographer. The preview doesn't excite me either. It's time to accept that i-D isn't my cup of tea anymore.

The fist cover is so unbearable. Made even more so that it's by Tim Walker. It's like a Nickelodeon ad.

The 2nd cover only gets a pass for Adwoa's stunning portrait, but that styling is so stupid.

I opened this happy, thinking this would be as amazing as fresh... but no. Of course not. That would be too much to ask from a fashion photographer/magazine in 2017.

Well, from the previews, I might be into two editorials (the clownish and the fishnets) but I'm not getting my hopes up for this. This might be the creativity issue but Tim left his somewhere in the past.

Adwoa is everywhere at the moment, its a bit much for me especially given she only had an iD cover a few issues back. The solo shot is far better than the group cover though, which isn't even worth commenting on.

^^^ Yes, she’s just a typical, cookie cutter partygirl/alt model of the moment…

There will always be scenesters like her around, no matter the decade, the place— nothing new. And fashion people, usually of the older variety who need to latch onto the newest kidz on the block to feel relevant, will always be ready to shove the likes of her on the covers of their magazines for street cred . Zzzzzzz.

Her 15 mins will be up— like all the alt model/partygirls before her, so get it while she can, I’d say.

i was legit excited to open an I-D thread for the first time in ages, but looks like i shouldn't have gotten my hopes up. How are you gonna hire tim walker if you're gonna deliver the same old ~~~youth imagery. the second could be a great cover, but i'm just so bothered by the overall styling / atmosphere they're going for.

No it's not what I mean but you know it can be mistaken... It's a common sort of insult that black people are confront with as "she got a big nose" or stuff like that. I dont want to start a debabt but It could be take as a "racist" comment by some people.
Anyway I see what you mean ( like Gigi Hadid and her mouth opened in every single shot)..
