Interview June / July 2010: Megan Fox by Craig McDean

It's certainly nice to see Megan, doing something different. I quite like it too, even though I don't understand her appeal.

I really like the cover. The ed is a departure from Megan's typical sex bomb eds - most of which I kinda liked, still kudos to her for changing things up. On the other hand, this type of ed has been done quite often by both models and celebs, so it is difficult for me personally to muster up any enthusiasm on that front. It is not a bad ed per se, it is just not my cup of tea.

The editorial has some really interesting elements, but as a whole it looks just stupid. Not sure exactly why, but it doesn't feel as impressive as I would think it'd be. The better pictures are the first and last shot, with her flawless profile. I'd like to see more talent and though put into the concept, because with so much focus on the styling, hair and make up the concept just falls flat and becomes a gimmick. McDean has done much better... Megan serves it, though.

Dean + Fox do it again. Me likey much as a Fox cover. Ed is a bit underwhelming but still prefer it to her usual.

Interview's celebrity cover choices aren't dependent on whether celeb has a film/album coming out. Although I think Fox has a release this year.

It's something really different from Megan Fox.
I like it, though I didn't expect her on the cover, since she covered two major magazines last time. Thanks for the HQ's EL.

awesome!! Hope to see her on more covers shes an awesome model and I totally see her appeal!

she might be a horrendous actress but she does photograph well. i like this cover.

Dennis.

Megan Fox should quit her day job and stick with modeling. That works. Hypnotising story.

I came into this thread to comment on how she has become inescapable, but I must say I'm pleasantly surprised. It's average by basic standards, but definitely a big hit in terms of Megan's magazine cover history... especially compared to that ghastly Allure.

Yes... same here. I was ready to dismiss it and just rolled my eyes by reading the title of this thread. Interview has this certain ability to make the trashiest of trashy Hollywood look somewhat attractive on their covers.

Oh, please stop with the Angelina comparisons. We've heard it all before over and over. I always found Megan to be hotter anyway..

XD... so you compare them! I'm just teasing because it's pretty funny that you did, but I agree. I don't get the comparison at all. Anyway, I really want to like Meghan because it seems like she's hiding this immense intelligence, and yet... she could just be a run-of-the-mill hollywood ditz. It's hard to like even the best photos of someone if you suspect that the person could be shallow. :/

I'm torn; on the one hand I kind of don't see the point in casting a girl like Megan who is known primarily for her image if you're going to make her into something else. On the other hand I don't actually like Megan Fox the actress and bombshell, so it's a relief not to see that person here.

I do kind of hate how Klein-lite the editorial comes off, though.

Is that really Megan Fox??? I would never have recognized her! But the cover is nice. Love the dramatic black hair-pale skin-red lips-steel blue background thing.

Oh yeah, seeing the full editorial... it looks very Steven Klein-ish. Which I hate, because I love Klein and I don't like when photographers copy eachother. If they wanted to go that direction, they should've just hired him. But, it's a nice editorial. With the manequins it, for some reason, reminds of Tom Ford by Steven Klein in W, but that's just me... Looking forward to the hot Summer content though!
