Hi all! I wanted to ask about the quality of the leather for NBF bags. Is it as thin and soft as the actual bbags (the city ones) or is it thicker and stiffer?

thin and soft for the most part. you can also request thick and bubbly leather.

i have not bought any styles from her. but i asked her to quote two celine bags. one was $270 and the other was $525.

I bought a Chanel maxi from her last year. The quality was good but not extraordinary. A year later and there are strings coming out of the bag, and some of the inner hardware fell apart. To be fair, I wore the bag quite a bit. I'm still unsure as to whether her prices are "worth it" because I haven't been able to compare with Jacky or Catty. I only buy small accessories from Catty and haven't been disappointed this far.

thanks girls! omg 450$ for a celine thats so a no no.. i bought mine from taobao (i have the phantom in black) and im wearing it everyday a year now and nothing bad has happened.
ZenEssence has mentioned about fnags chanel bags but as long as im not an expert i dont want to risk it and pay that much for a medium bag..

i was quoted $270 for a burgundy/brownish celine box bag (think it might be the larger size - i got the black smaller version from jacky a few years ago)

the 525$ bag was the combo stingray skin celine box bag in black. i was also interested in the combo ostrich celine box that was priced the same.

the all black python celine box was $644.

Ah I see...thanks. The quote she gave me was for an electric blue luggage tote..the caption said it was mini, although it didn't look mini. I just can't bring myself to pay that much for one...at least not until I investigate other options.

She quoted me over $700 for a grey reissue. I guess there are some people out there that are paying those prices...

i got a luggage tote from jacky a few years ago that has held up great. i paid $175. the small celine box i got was 115.

i think the reason she can charge these sky high prices is that not many sellers are offering these exotic skin bags.

So I found a good Balenciaga cut out Spring/Summer 2011 knock off boot on ioffer but they don't have size 11 in women and don't have them in a regular black leather. Does anyone know of another good website that might have a better alternative?

A lot of these bags I haven’t used yet, because I’m the type that cant be arsed to take my wallet and items out and exchange bags. I’m a bit lazy.

NBF black folk – its been more than a year of constant use and there is no sign of use on this bag. I’m hoping they will run this style in new colors.



Random seller Thomas wylde black skull bag in brown. I got this bag after I used the hell out of the black version. I still have it and its sitting in my closet. I remember my partner telling me how he hated the skull bags. I think he thought them sophomoric. I didn’t like the leather on this one as much as the black one.



Jacky mulberry polly push lock in navy. The lock on this was tricky. I haven’t used it yet. I’m contemplating placing an order with catty and asking her if she would throw in an extra lock.



YSL besace messenger in grey. I got this second hand years ago but haven’t used it yet. It’s a lovely bag.



Also, there are other bags from NBF that I’ve purchased but haven’t used yet in coquelicot, bubblegum, blue lavande, sorbet, and framboise Etc. so I cant really comment on them.



i really need to get around to using these beauties!


overall, ive been very happy with the quality of the items ive purchased over the years. they are MILES above department store level bags. and ive read enough complaints about designer bags here and on other forums to decide they are mostly a waste of time and $. although i do own some designer authentic bags (marc jacobs etc) i think i like my nbf bags better.

Jacky Mulberry Alexa Oak Oversized

Jacky Mulberry Alexa Plum reg size (this one has wear on the corners)due to it being carried often

Jacky Polly Pushlock Navy - I love this bag so.

NBF Velo Outremer: Love this bag though I don't carry it often. There is no wear at all

NBF Siegle Folk bag- This bag has worn beautifully. The leather is soft and smooshy. I just ordered a black folk as I want a darker color for the winter months ahead.

NBF City coquellicot: This is just the perfect shade and pop to brighten any outfit. Love this and it is my one and only city.

NBF Blue Lavande Day GGH: Love the blue lavande color and the rose gold sets it off. My only rose gold bag and it is my favorite day bag. I receive compliments on the color every time I carry it.

I've had probably 15 NBFs over the years. Days, courriers, works, cities, twiggies. A Chloe paddington, an auth. orange Bal. courrier, Jacky's caviar clutch, but have had to really reduce the bag size because of a messed up shoulder.

For the price, Joy's Birkins are excellent and have garnered dagger looks from women in the know.

When did you purchase your birkins from Joy? I'm in the market for a Birkin but I won't buy unless its basically undetectable. Would you say Joy's would pass casual scrutiny? Are hers better than Catty or Phillip's?

Sorry I haven't posted for a while, quick question: has anyone seen a good Chanel Boy flap bag in velvet? Really want one, got a Boy from Jacky last Xmas but like many he's not responding to me any more...though I have just mailed him again praying he'll respond.
