I think the reason why this thread has slowed is cause the colours are preeeetty boring right now. Really - 3 greys (Greige, Papyrus and Gris Tarmac)? Yawn.

I really love those boring colors though. I always get excited with bright colours but the neutrals are the ones I end up wearing the most. I have beiges and muted blues from NBF that have been worn for over 7 years and they look great with each outfit.

I am contemplating a Gris Tarmac City now since I have never owned any greys. I do not know which G12 mini hardware to choose though - the silver or the rose Gold. Any preferences? Was also contemplating a Work in the Tarmac but I am intimidated by its size ( I am 5' 5" so not that tall to pull it off).

I suspect that part of the reason this thread has slowed sooooo far down is that it's virtually impossible to keep up with all of the changing websites and how to get to them. Don't get me wrong: I get why the sites keep changing and I totally understand why people guard them so fiercely, but it makes it really difficult to keep up with.

For example, I've been pretty active purchasing for years now, but I currently only have site information for Catty and T&D. That's it. Trying to scope out other sites is difficult at best-- particularly for sellers who don't always answer emails.

Anyway: for my next bag, I'm torn between a Celine and a Chanel. I'm really leaning toward Chanel, since I've wanted one for so long. My conflict is that I'm sort of a big purse a-holic. I like to have the option to throw my Macbook Air in my purse if need be, ya know?

If I go Chanel, what would you guys rec? And which seller?

Actually, I'm leaning pretty heavily toward a Celine Phantom (large) after giving it a little thought. Likely a croc one, but that's not mandatory.

Recs on the best Celine Phantom? I checked out Catty's and it looks like the brand stamp inside is on the wrong part of the bag :/

I absolutely agree! I'm pretty much in the same situation. I haven't bought anything in about a year and am now out of the loop. Sourcing all the info can be a bit daunting, especially when I'm eager to buy... But it's the nature of the industry, so I understand.

Sorry, got too late to edit my last post, so just wanted to add the following!

If anyone has any thoughts on what hardware they think T&D do best please feel free to advise! I haven't got a classic from them in a few years, but I liked them. I got an Electric Blue with GGH but the gold tarnished & faded so I don't wear so much. I got the giant hardware in silver on a clutch which looked good but I never saw their Giant Rose Gold finish.


Also considering their Coqueliqot...is it suede? I have a bright red bal from the guys from years ago, got it at the same time as a cream one, both in city size. The red is looking pretty beaten up now. I got the magenta & another blue (turquoise) in the city a few years later & the leather was much thicker & the bags actually a little bigger. Which makes me a bit wary of carrying the first two. However, I love the red so much I just carry it & hope no-one notices It is so battered now I can't imagine anyone pays much attention to it. The sizing difference & the big difference in the leather has made me a bit wary & not having handled an auth in a while I am not sure what I should be looking out for/expecting! How do NBF compare to the auths these days?

Not sure if the auth is like this as well...) and a very nice magenta day. I have to say the leather is super great but the zippers broke on two of the three bags. Im not sure if i could ever get them fixed....sadly :-( wanna know some comments on their bags now as well!!

I think NBF does take a while. I don't remember how long i waited but their bags are gorgeous. BTW, could you please confirm if their email is still hotmail?
