coco109 thanks for the info! but I dont think it will pass as chagtaine, does your chagtaine have a purplish/reddish base to it? From fangfang's picture it seems like there is a slight purplish/reddish tone.

The Chataigne Bal Color does have red undertones to it. I own one and have seen several at the store. That is the Chataigne color.

xooey: Maybe you can place the NF flat on the floor with heavy books inside the bag, as well as outside the bag. Let the books sandwich the bag to flatten out the crease.

You mean the bag sank an inch into the duvet....?? Anyways I'm just "concerned with other people's bags" because I don't want any girl to walk around with a really fake looking bag... just trying to be helpful I mean I wouldn't want everyone to think of me as the girl with the fake chanel.

arisaa: oh sweetie, seriously? something that's really fake looking totally different case with a good and very close replica. we all know that there're no perfect reps, but what matter most is not the bag itself, but the attitude of the person carrying the bags IMO. u might say that u can spot if the bag is fake or not on the streets, but how do u know for sure if your judgement is right/wrong unless you go to the person and ask to check the details. we all know that pictures sometime not the true representation of what the bags in real life, so unless you spend hours every day researching the bags in store, how would you know..again, the really fake looking bag is exclusion. t&d's bales arent perfect, arent you concerned people will think of you as the girl with fake bals when they see them? i hope not, coz if so, then reps arent really for you.

xooey I got 2 speedy 30 watercolor & 1 stephen sprouse NF MM from catty and I have had the same problems: the crease! so I put into my bag a lot of things and I left the bags hanging on the handles during 2 days.. now they are perfect!!!

cherrybomb: i really like the leather on my AG, i heard it's the same as the other new colors. i will let you know when i receive my framboise. but this is my feedback. i love and prefer the leather on my AG. i touch and felt a ruby PT and it was as same as my EB PT, which is shine, but dry, very dry. again, i still like the leather on AG,very soft. i love it shine a little bit, so i spray my bbags w apple product, to protect against water spot and dust.
in fact, the handles on my AG stretched already (which i dont like) and i carried it for shorter time and less stuff, compare to my magenta WE. which means, the leather on my aG WE is softer and easier to break in.
if u like the shine, try apple product. it's GREAT

talking about the greatest leather in the history of NBF making Bbaga, *i think* the best leather is on my bordeaux city. thick, distress, but not wrinkly or bubbly, right amount of wax for shine and perfect moist!!!!

Definitely go for the Neverfull-you will love it-I have been carrying mine every day to work and it carries so much without looking too stuffed. I also like the way the deerskin prada look 3025 and 3026 and they have had some pretty good reviews-stay away from his gauffre deerskin tan 3038-that's the pic of the auth. Mui Miu bow satchel got good reviews too. I think if you go for his black lambskin jumbo xl chanel you will be happy with the quality.

At the risk of getting ridiculed, here's some pics I took to give you some size perspective. Oh and that's my 'hermes' scarf I bought this summer used as a belt, too.

I'm not very fashion forward-pretty conservative the way I dress-lol!

I would like to get a black chanel lambskin jumbo xl, but maybe not this time. I have a lot of black bags already. That's why i have finally decided not to get the AW diego, even though I like it a lot!

Jacky's blue evening/jumbo flap bag is luring me to get it but I am afraid to take the risk. The blue seems off?

I don't know about the blue color being off. Remember that a lot of times jacky uses pics of the auth.

You may want to consider the silver 2.55. I have it (got it a year and 1/2 ago when it first came out) and it's fabulous. The leather is great and the silver is so pretty (as conservative as I can be I have a 'thing' for metallic bags and shoes!B)). The HW is also really nice on the bag and it's something out of the ordinary. The others who have it love it, too.

You really can't go wrong with jacky's chanel, so I say go for the blue if you really want it!!

I also strongly recommend the timeless clutch-you will be surprised at how much it holds and it's perfect for dress up, very pretty and only 65 bucks!

xooey: auth bags have those creases along the top trim too. it's due to the bridle leather. my auth vuittons have come folded when i used to have to order from eluxury and after time and use the creases eventually worked themselves out.

arisaa: i agree i would rather have someone tell me what is wrong w/ my bag then trounce around town with a bad rep. Though i have come to realize though, some of the differences I pick apart bags with really can't be seen when just passing someone on the street.

and ok, i must be really really cockeyed or not as detail oriented as i thought i was but i can't really see how the structure is off on those metallic reiusses.....bahumbug. is it mainly the flap shape??

Oh yes, cloudyblue mentioned and posted pictures of her silver 2.55 re-issue too Unfortunately, its sold out at the moment. Should i go for metallic navy then?
Timeless clutch is a beauty but I doubt I will have a chance to carry it.

mmmmm....you may want to do a search and see if anyone got the metallic blue and what the reviews were-I know he did the red for a second (if memory serves me correctly) and it was nice-ok but not spot on.

As for the timeless clutch, it's perfect to save for later when you may have a formal occasion come up....but understandable regarding the funds!!

maybe you can wait and see if his silver comes in soon? it's worth it! Don't do the striped one though.

As for patina on the neverfull-it's taking a while to patina, but it'll get there. The trim is def real leather because I got water on it and it spotted.

anyway, i've emailed the boys but i've not received any reply for the past 2 days.. gah.. i hope my bags have been shipped..
in the meantime, my maldives work rh is just super gorgeous.. i've been bringing her out daily.. and each time, someone will compliment her!!

I have received my orders from Catty. I'd bought:

- LV Damier Neverfull MM (my sister's order)
- LV Damier Neverfull PM (for myself)
- LV Vernis French Purse in Violette (to top up for free shipping)

The NF MM is really great. From what I can see, there is no flaw to it and it is almost perfect (I use 'almost' because well, it is still a rep afterall). My sister is very happy with her order and is using it daily.

The NF PM is not so great. The handles are warped, most likely due to shipping. I still can't get them to stand up stiffly or at least straighten up. One side of the bag has a crease across it, as the bag was folded flat during shipping. It's not very visible now that the bag's in use, but I can still see it from certain angles. Did anyone here buy the same item from Catty and have the same problem?

The Vernis French Purse in Violette is no good at all. I can see visible flaws on the perimeter of the purse. I will not be using it.

But I give two thumbs-up for Catty's service. She is very prompt in replying emails and patient too. Shipping was fast and a tracking number was given to me a day after I'd made payment.

Sorry, forgot to add that the dust bags (for all 3 items) and the box (for the wallet) are totally off. So are the little cards that came with each item. Just in case anyone cares for that.

I also have the neverfull pm from catty, been using it since february/march almost daily and it arrived in perfect state and is still perfect: no creases on the bag, handles are perfectly straight and no creases on the top brown line (I did some pics in picture thread)
