eskielvr, I can't get that Mulberry Hayden bag that you have out of my head. The leather is incredible. Do you mind taking mod shots so I can see the size of it? The color is absolutely beautiful...

Has anyone ordered a belt from Jacky before? I tried search the thread but nothing really showed up.

I'm thinking of ordering an Hermes belt or a Gucci belt and I wanted to see if anyone had feedback on how close to authentic it looked.

Hope this answers your question-got this last year from Jacky. Pic credit-me.

I am also thinking of getting a business bag (briefcase like)-what do you think of Jacky's mulberry bag with the bow on it (It's the ruby bayswater #1830 in black).

chelsea2901 what size did you get in the belt? I'm going to order an LV monogrammed one from jacky :) I'm thinking the 90 or 95cm. I love the Hermes one too though!

i love love your outremer day.. gorgeous leather!!! the black leather on your work looks good, better than my velo i think. how does it compare to the velo leather?

eskielvr
i'm going to place an order with J to get the mulberry oak hayden. i really want the black too, so i emailed him to ask if he will be getting that one or if he can make it. the leather is luscious! since i can't decide between oak and black i'm hoping i can get both and just let my mom use the one i'm not using :) i know, my thought process is outta control!!!

didja guys see the auth alexander wang bag on jacky's site? only $280! if only i liked that style.

I got the 95cm. I wear a US 6 and jeans US 8 , depending on the brand and cut (I have hips!!). It only has 3 belt holes on the end and room to punch more if needed. The leather is very nice on both sides and the only complaint I had was that the holes were kind of tight and needed to be stretched before I could put the metal through to close the belt (if that makes sense).

So is the oak hayden the tote bag? It looks really cute. I need something roomy for folders, proposals, pitchbook, etc (salesperson's stuff). Do you think it would be big enough for that? I used to carry a coach bucket tote-it was huge-but it's in 'retirement'.

pinkprincess, I'll be happy to post a mod shot tomorrow if that's ok. You'll love the bag! The leather is as wonderful as the nude alexa, nice and thick, and it's a beautiful color too!

Yesss! Thanks Chelsea and Eskielvr :D Eskie- no problemo, I probably won't place the order until tomorrow anyway. Just overly excited as usual

Chelsea, I think the Hayden would be PERFECT for that.. the leather has that smooshy broken in look which I adore. If only he had the black! I'm waiting to hear back about it from J. Would you prefer oak or black? (I'm having a hard time deciding as you can tell)

Tough call on the color. I just went to his site to look at both and they are such different looks. If you are looking for a more relaxed casual bag then the oak looks like the winner. If you are looking for something dress casual, then the black suits that look.

I can see your dilemma-they are both gorgeous.

I think it might be a little too delicate leather for me for a business bag though-I need the toughness of the darwin leather, I think.

Can anyone please please please send me jackys link? I've been trying to ask but no one seems to be paying attention :(

Thank you all so much for the Outremer love! It's so fun to be able to share the new bag excitement here :D

do you agree the leather is similar to your sang?

The leather on my Outremer is just a bit stiffer and more "chewy" than my Sang which is ultra slouchy and soft but I like they way both feel. This could be because the Outremer isn't as broken in, but my Sang pretty much arrived super slouchy.

They are definitely both thick though and have the same sort of finish, texture and distressing which I really love!

yup the little capsules of vit E from GNC. i had some around and gave it a try because i read somewhere here that it works. I was pretty pleased with the results. :)

shousesame your Black GGH City (I think it's a City) looks fantastic! You did an awesome conditioning job. I'll definitely be adding Vitamin E to my arsenal!

I have to report that my Raisin Work feels DIVINE now! After four rounds with the baseball glove softener, it feels soooo lush! I'm breaking it in with sweats and my Complete Works of Shakespeare!  Photos to come! Pssst... it's so soft, it actually PUDDLES now! :woot:

Chelsea2901 I would say J's mulberry bay is what you need. I carry lots of stuff between my two offices..my laptop (a very heavy dell vostro), files etc. I finally got myself J's mulberry bayswater in oak (just 3 weeks ago) and I can say that it's been a match made in heaven. When it came, it was love at first sight. There was no smell (except the lovely smell of leather) and it has now patina-ed. It is a real workhorse and I don't need to fuss over it. You know when you've gotten your HG when you feel no need to buy another bag.

As for the ruby, well, it's cute but somehow, not really too business-like..well, at least not in my industry.

hi everyone :) late on the bandwagon but i finally received my black RH city and GSH envelope clutch!! the city is definitely my favourite. it's a bit shiny, but i know that'll go away with some conditioning. the leather is smooth and looks exactly like the sample that T&D showed us way back when. the only problem is that they sent me the wrong strap!! it measures 18" inches, which i believe is for the first bag. so i emailed them and they said they would send me another ^_^

on the other hand, i'm a bit unsure about my envelope clutch. the leather is really wrinkly (or bubbly/veiny? not sure how to describe it). i just hope it doesn't look fake. what do you ladies think? here are some pictures http://img707.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=dsc05840f.jpg (sorry, i haven't figured out how to embed yet haha)

another thing i wanted to share...the other night i was out for my friend's birthday, and my LV rose florentin vernis pochette was stolen  nevermind that it was auth, it had a lot of sentimental value as it was a present. my new nbfs almost make up for it...but not quite. if anyone sees a rep of this please please let me know :flower:

chelsea2901 I almost ordered Jacky's Mulberry Ruby. The pictures featured on his site look great. The leather seems close to the real Ruby. It looks kind of shiny but that is how Mulberry's Ruby looks like too. I think it is a great work bag, the ribbon feature adds a kind of sweetness to the bag compare to the more formal Bayswater. If he has the nude version coming out, I very much prefer the nude one but black seems like a more practical colour for daily use.

ColeyX3 looking forward to pics of your Raisin, the sale is pretty tempting.

vivian92: first, im sorry about ur stolen LV :(. but your black city is GORGEOUS! that's the leather i dream off. thick and smooth. ur clutch is a bit too distress for a new clutch, but condition it more than others and make it look more used. that doesnt make the clutch fake, just too distress.

hope you dont mind me posting ur pics

Off on a tangent...

I love the new Alexander Wang with shoulder strap, I own the normal one but don't use it enough as it doesn't have the shoulder strap :( So I'm going to ask Jacky if he'll do the AW Rocco with a strap, anyone else fancy asking him too? :D

How cool does Hilary Duff look? And here's the bag as is:

I'll let you know what he says anyway for those interested xx

Anyone who owns the AW Coco Duffle by J can comment on how heavy the bag is? The studs at the bottom makes it look heavy. The shoulder strap idea is great, I'd like one if J is making them.

chupi - let us know what he says! i have the original one but wouldn't mind getting one with a strap in a different colored hardware. wish he'd make another color besides black  and wish he could use lighter studs :D

bisoubis - it's a very heavy bag. feels like it's already full when it's empty. but i think j did a great job on it ;)

bisoubis, it is a very heavy bag. Not recommended if you carry a lot of stuff all the time. I feel it's great for running quick errands and for casual dinners ... when you're good to go with just a few essential items. Jacky's AW bag is really good quality though. The leather is very thick and pebbled, just like the real thing. If you like the bag, get it from Jacky.
