You ladies have made buying something soooo tempting.soooo. I just purchased a Chanel 2010 JUMBO XL MAXI BAG 2950 Beige Lambskin w/Gold from Jacky.. The pictures look so yummy, I can not wait!!!

totally missed the picture of the ps11 :lol::judge:
*having a blonde moment*

great that you guys are interested, hopefully he'll be able to make them! the real ones are, like kimair said, very expensive...

yesterday i decided to get an anthracite work with gsh, but i'm having second thoughts... the work seems so big, and i'm quite small (5'3).. on some pictures it looks great but on other pictures it looks huge.

this picture makes me want the bag:

columbine.freshnet.se

while this doesn't make me want it:

forum.purseblog.com

anthra is a grey colour with blue or green undertones, right? do you guys think it'll look similar to the first picture i posted above?

The top pictured bag is wow.. i love the hadware.. the handle is shorter .. these arent the same style are they? i want a BIG one..but one like the top. This will be my 1st Bali...:woot:

^Top pic is of a 6+ft model and the lower pic is of a woman of quite wide and shorter build. You couldn't find another picture with more contrasting people. Its the same style. It depends on your build.

Regarding desiremall's Birkins, the quality is definitely worth it! They're honest sellers and won't take your money and run, so don't worry there!

orchidian: Can't wait to see pics!! I'm SO glad you're happy with your purchase from him. He is beyond wonderful (and I think very nice too)! :heart:

brianna:thesiren mentioned a thread or two back that Jacky's Damier Speedy 30 is spot on perfect! It's such a great bag for rainy days and since there's no vachetta to worry about, you can be pretty hard on it and it'll still look great!

Btw, where are you thesiren? You're missed! :flower:

Thank you for the pics PinkP!! Jacky's plonge lambskin bags are incredible. I honestly don't know how he does it for such a low price. The quality far surpasses the price on those bags IMO!

And I've also been flooded with requests for Jacky's info. I don't give it out. Period. I don't know anyone's intentions and the fact that he has to deal with harrassment is ridiculous. I'm not aiding that by giving his URL to unknowns.

My friend Catty hasn't been getting too much love here lately, but I just ordered her black Chloe Paraty. She sent pics and answered emails promptly. She shipped it the day I paid and it arrived in 5 days and is GORGEOUS. The leather smells better than any of my other bags (I too love the smell of leather but don't find that weird...does that make me super weird? :blink:)!! The leather is calfskin and I'm not sure if I should describe it as finely pebbled or finely grained? Either way, love it and have already used it a lot! I've carried it by the handles and by the long strap. No problems so far!! Jacky and Catty are still my favorites for all non Bal bags and I don't think that will change anytime soon! :D

/\ also for the handles LMB's make a product for handles only I believe so that they won't darken

Just a word of caution before you take the plunge and order the For Handles Only. It's a cream that you apply on the handles and then use your blow dryer on it. I bought it and used used it on several bags all on the same day. I should have done one and waited a few days...:( It reminds me of wax on a car...if you don't apply it just right and follow the exact directions (which I really thought I did) it leaves a residue in the nooks and crannies. (visions of thomas' english muffins now...:lol:) and the leather doesn't feel quite like it did before you apply it...which on handles can be a huge deal!
I have also heard that on certain leathers it can actually make the handles darker...exactly opposite the point of the stuff in the first place! :blink:

HandbagDiva- Yes, Crystal has a magenta RH city from Tracy.. If I remember correctly it did have the correct bales compared to auth. T&D's were not. I think they corrected them now though- limmiet took some pictures comparing her galet city to the older raisin city's bales.
PinkPrincess113:

Is this the pic (borrowed from limmiet photos :flower:) comparing the hw on the galet and raisin bals?
http://picasaweb.google.com/limmiet/BBAgs#5501925038785014210

I can't remember now where I saw it and I can't find it :doh:...but I do remember a member saying that they (who? t & d or b/s..? can't remember) had attempted to correct the dip in the bale but it ended up looking more like a chip and it was only on one side of the bale.

I *think* this is it:

And to everyone that has helped me (immensely I might add!!) I was able
to try on a City, Work, Day and Maxi Twiggy today. It was fun! :buzz: I have never had enough nerve to actually try the bags on. They let me put my stuff inside to see how it would look when I carried it. I ended up LOVING both the Work and the City! I am torn...the Work is lovely but I think it might be just a touch too 'noticeable' on me. I am more of a fly under the radar person and I am afraid that this size will look too...obvious..? for lack of a better description. :blush: The City was actually a great size and with the shoulder strap fit my height really well. I measured it against my Speedy 35 and they were actually very similar in size, with the City being just a bit wider than the Speedy. I think the City might be the way for me to go for my first b bag...test the waters and wade into the brand slowly. :ninja:

ETA: Thus my reason for inquiring who makes the best bales...if I get the City, they will be right there...I would like to try to get them to look
as auth as possible.

Buyandsell and Marcia/other seller's bags have that incredibly imperceptible fraction of a degree dip in their bales. They also have monumental glaringly obvious wrong sized handles (WAY too long, thin and huge-- instantly noticeable on all B&S bags posted here) and are notorious for arriving with the overwhelming odor of nauseatingly putrid toxic chemicals, of which members have described as being impossible to eradicate--even several months later. Many of their styles are only available via pre-order and are currently delayed for months. And while only certain styles are available in lambskin (leaving chinese cowhide and "imported cowhide" as the only other options) it is nowhere near the caliber of T&D's genuine Italian lambskin. Their bags are also exorbitantly priced: $290 ($310 via EMS) for the city..and you can expect to pay upwards of $350+ for a work(!).

On the other hand, NBF do not have that incredibly imperceptible fraction of a degree dip in their bales. They do, however, have perfect handles, correct hardware, gorgeous soft and silky leather, spot on deeply saturated colors, and have excellent customer service along with speedy shipment and delivery. Oh, and their prices are way more reasonable. You can get a huge weekender for less than a B&S work--and without the wonky super long thin handles!

I am wearing my Hermes CDC cuff from Jacky today and I love it!

I am thinking of getting more Hermes cuffs from Jacky, but I need 5 items to get free shipping.

TFS members from Singapore, please PM me if you want to get anything from Jacky.

Thanks!

HandbagDiva, I would advise you to go with T&D for your 1st Bal rep. The bales are really not noticeable at all.

I am carrying my Argent GSH City from NBF today. Yes, with incorrect bales AND O-rings which are of the wrong size. And guess what? My friend who buys only auth Bal bags (she doesn't know my bag is a rep) absolutely loves my NBF bag and wants me to sell it to her.

What I'm trying to say is, the bales are no biggie to me and not noticeable at all, so don't worry too much.

However, if they really do bug you, you may wish to look for alternative sources.

Hope this helps, and do post pics when you've finalised your purchase.

She's not a 6+ft model :lol: She's 168cm (5'5 feet).. and a stylist, not a model.

just to answer a couple of questions some of the ladies posted here...my current fave bag has to be tracy's pommier work and i foresee that it will continue to be until i decide to get another colour. fortunately, tracy's factory somehow had made an extra pommier work as another customer happened to purchase quite a number of bags and so my waiting time including shipping was about 1 week! I paid about US$264 for it, more than what TD would charge but to me that's absolutely worth it since the workmanship and leather is immaculate. There was no unbearable odour, and the bag did smell like the usual leather bags. Handles look OK to me and they do sit comfortably on the shoulders so no complaints there!

Good morning all,

This is a constant reminder to newbies and to those who have not contributed to the threads/topics:

Do not ask us for urls to sellers. You will likely not receive a response. Try searching on your own, yes, through the 7 threads in this topic. We all had to, and will not spoonfeed anyone who is not a regular contributor.

These are the rules we all have to live by. You're not being discriminated against or abused, so don't claim that. Especially since everyone should have read the rules before they even posted.

Thank you.

Xooey, aren't those CDC cuffs from Jacky great?:woot:

I'm going to order some more in my next Jacky order (sadly, not for another month or two).

The leather is supple and smells good, and the hardware looks great, to my non-expert eyes at least. I'd love to A-B them with the authentic, but don't know anyone who has one. I love how they "toughen up" an otherwise normal outfit.

I'm not sure what the average age of people on this thread is, but do you guys think of a particular age range when you imagine who credibly wears the stuff we get from J, etc?

She's not a 6+ft model :lol: She's 168cm (5'5 feet).. and a stylist, not a model.

I'm so glad you posted this! I too thought she looked much shorter than 6ft! :) The bag looks great on her!

And, I might add, the woman in the lower picture is "wider of build" because she's REALLY pregnant! ;)

What can I say! Carrying a small human around in one's abdomen definitely alters your shape! :D And I happen to think we still have every right to rock a Bal!

I'm glad your bag wasn't stinky! I think the thing with the handles is a good illustration of how some people are bugged by certain details but not by others. I can tell the handles are off and it would REALLY bug me to carry a bright Bal around with incorrect handles. I wouldn't consider the workmanship correct because of this flaw. However, bales don't bother me. I don't even think about them when I'm carrying my bag. So if my bag has perfect handles but flawed bales (NBF), I'm happy. If you have a bag with correct bales, and the handle issue doesn't bother you, then you have the perfect bag for YOU! To each her own. That's why it's great that we have multiple options with whom we buy our bags from.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So I said I'd report back after I used Apple's Rain & Stain Repellent (aka Apple Garde) on my nude Alexa! It definitely didn't alter the color at all but it did dry out the leather ever so slightly. It definitely is effective though! I carried the bag while wearing dark jeans again and the amount of denim transfer with the bag treated vs. untreated was about 60% less! I used my LMB cleanser to remove the denim marks.
wow I didn't know this thanks for the info:flower:, but then what can we use on our bal handles other then saran wrap:shock: as obviously it shows the wear on the handles first :unsure: anyone know??
it's catty that has the perfect damier speedy. i bought the bag from someone on bagswap years ago, but she told me it was from catty. i just saw that bag last week and it is still flawless and i bought it for my sister over two years ago. :flower:
i am still checking the thread every few days (i'm a crackhead like that :ninja:), but have been swamped with work and traveling. my husband was finally able to get time off from the office, so we darted around visiting family and then on a much-needed vacay of our own. we both travel a ton, but seldom for pleasure, so this was long overdue. ^_^ that said, i was working while vacationing, so go figure. :shock:
congrats on all of the lovely new bags everyone. :heart:
thanks to the kind ladies that were helpful with their feedback on desiremall's birkins.
I actually like the idea that it is unbranded, esp. in the birkin design - this is why i looked at desiremall's bags when shopping for a 25cm birkin.
I am more careful after my experience with an earlier order of a supposedly top-notch hermes replica bag... but was disappointed to see tt the end product, quality/workmanship/& leather was similar to jacky's hermes bag that i had own & paid 1/5 of the price.... (tt said, jacky's hermes bag is good stuff, worth every $$$. I meant that the other bag was overpriced!)
Thanks to both you and babybluestar for your input! :flower: I plan on looking on bagswap or ordering from Catty sometime soon.
