it's catty that has the perfect damier speedy. i bought the bag from someone on bagswap years ago, but she told me it was from catty. i just saw that bag last week and it is still flawless and i bought it for my sister over two years ago.

i am still checking the thread every few days (i'm a crackhead like that ), but have been swamped with work and traveling. my husband was finally able to get time off from the office, so we darted around visiting family and then on a much-needed vacay of our own. we both travel a ton, but seldom for pleasure, so this was long overdue. that said, i was working while vacationing, so go figure.

Thank you the correction! I realized that (about a year ago) you posted about the bags from Jacky that you've found to be basically flawless. One of them is his Speedy 35 (I believe you were referring to mono). I figured if he nailed it with the mono version then the damier was probably a safe bet too. I got it and am thrilled with it! Bright red lining, excellent handles, etc. Then I got mixed up when someone asked about damier and thought you'd recommended Jacky's.
I've only ever read good reviews on Catty's damier (except for her azur) and I will probably check her's out on any future damier purchases!

orchidian:I'm almost positive that Jacky and Joy don't have the same supplier for their LV. I just saw Jacky's roses pochette IRL and it's fantastic. I'll compare it to my auth pochette and get back to you on specifics! Joy's is really good in many ways but the strap is too wide (which is the case with most reps of this bag). Out of my experience with buying from both of them, I'd definitely recommend Jacky. His quality is consistently better!

My beautiful Alexa is in the bag hospital. She has one weak snap. She arrived that way. Imagine that! An imperfect replica! hehe. Anyway, one snap would come undone every time I carried her by the top handle, which is very annoying! Jacky sent an extra snap so I'm having it replaced as well as some extra holes punched in the strap so I can carry it higher on my body and not be afraid to wear jeans! Just another example of every seller having bags that can fail. It's certainly not just Catty. If the overall quality and craftsmanship of the bag is great, then I'm satisfied and will be a repeat customer. Even auth bags need fixin'! That's what good cobblers are for!!!

Regarding Jacky's Chanel vs. Catty's...I only have Chanel from Jacky but it seems he may have changed something with his flaps.... My vintage XL is from the very first batch (Feb '09). It's sturdy and has gorgeous, glowy lambskin leather. His more recent vintage XL's seem less structured and the lambskin looks more dull... I'm not a Chanel expert but I think Catty's nicer flaps (the one's you have to ask for) are gorgeous!

Personally, I prefer T&D's Anthra to Black. The Anthra is a true chameleon and changes color under different lighting. I have both Anthra and Black from the same batch and I do not like my Black RH City. The leather is very crumpled looking (certainly not distressed or wrinkly like auth 05) and I much prefer distressed leather. No offense to those out there with NBF's black bags, this is just my personal opinion. Anthra ftw!

ETA: I love T&D's Anthra so much, I will get another Anthra City bag. But only if it comes with the steely blue undertones which I love so much.

coco - are we positive the boys are making the folk in bleu roi? the last i spoke to them, they said it was a no and they were only doing black, anthra and maybe noix (or some brown, but i forget which one)?

i want a sorbet giant money so badly. i wish they would do a few bright wallets versus the black and anthra.

Thesiren: I heard from T&D and they confirmed that they will make the folk bag in blue roi. For anyone who wants a folk bag in blue roi I suggest writing to T&D and putting your name on the list.

For those new members who are not sure about the color of Anthracite...here are 2 ref pics. Hope this helps.
Here is a pic of one of my NBF Anthracite's next to (what use to be my) NBF black GSH work..looks quite green next to black..But then on its own it looks quite a bit darker..Anthracite is a chameleon.
And here is an anthracite city with GGH (I painted this hardware)
Looks very different with GH me thinks. I think the anthra batch is the same...I forget....But I remember at the time talking to Pinkprincess and we decided that my anthra work must have had a suntan...and was darker than her city (which I now have and LOVE) I LOVE anthra...I think it's my favorite color that I have. Pics are mine

Well, my Damier Azur from Joy is breaking in well (handles are a nice tan! ) and I just ordered a Speedy 40 and the Roses Zippy from her as well. I am REALLLLLLY stoked about my Speedy 40. (I'll be at the boutique ordering my luggage tag sometime next week! Eeeeeeeek!)

So.... I was super stoked about Sorbet and when I was going to order it... someone hacked into my Paypal acct. So I've been out of commission on that front for awhile. It makes me afraid to even deal with Paypal right now. So, until I get my courage back up, I'm only messing with WU and my CC directly. (Hence the order from Joy!) I took a family photo (obviously leaving a TON of family members out... my bed is only so big! LOLOL) That I'll be posting up in the pic forum.

I do what I can chupiAnthra and RGGH is a gorgeous combo.
I have 5 NBF'S now and 2 of them are Anthracite. the others 3 are black and 1 B+S grey

I won't be getting another Anthra anytime soon it looks very close to my marine/officer there isn't much of a difference they both look like a dark blue what I would really like is the Plomb that is my all time fav what a special color... but on another note my sorbet twiggy is en-route

@ luna - i own the auth cerf in pink (few yrs old) & it definitely got slouchy. not structured at all if unstuffed. the bag will probably flop to midway point if i left it to stand on the floor. actually have to stuff the bag to maintain the shape while in storage. & I use my chameleon purse insert (large size) to maintain a better shape when I take her out. hth!

has anyone here contacted desiremall people past few days & heard back from them? can you feedback pls. its quite strange, when I am ready to make my order (esp. now when USD$ is low!) & no one has replied me back past 2 days (they were so prompt earlier in their correspondence). Not sure if i said something to offend them or ask too many questions earlier.... ((

crystal, anthra does not look like dark blue at all...
i have 2 anthra bags and a marine weekender, and they aren't even close to each other...
marine is definitely a dark blue and anthra is definitely a grey bag (with blue undertones)...

i am thinking about getting jacky's jypsiere in my next order. i have always loved this bag. if it doesn't work, i'll live, but from the pics, it looks like it's worth a try. the garden tote and atlas totes are also tempting, but i think i'll see how the stitching/leather/etc. are on the jypsiere first. i saw this bag at H while vacationing and it is still one of my favorite bags ever. so functional and low key, yet ridiculously luxe at the same time.

the amethyst kelly is also stunning with the palladium HW. so fresh!

the siren: blue roi is only made with GSH and Giant rose gold hardware. The color is veer close to Marine. If one was to purchase blue roi with GGH it could be passed off as marine I suppose.

I got a jypsiere off of ioffer before I knew of Jacky. While the general construction was great (the leather a bit thinner than birkins, but fine otherwise), the dimensions were totally off! The seller did a bait-and-switch, claiming her dimensions were one thing and sending me another.

The Jypsiere 28 should be 11" x 9.25" x 4.9", the 34 should be 13.4" x 10.2" x 5.9", and the largest size (37? don't know) is 14.5" x 11.8" x 6.3". The one sent to me is 12" x 12". Not a huge difference, but it definitely throws the proportions off.

Ehbest has some that look and are listed as being really close to the dimensions of the 34. They list their dimensions as 13.4"L x 5.5 "W x 11"H, and the photos looks really close to the dimensions on the H website.

Jacky lists his as 12" (W) x 11" (H) x 5.5" (D).

As I said before, the nearest H boutique is in another state, a 13 hour drive away. I've never seen ANY hermes in my state, so I wear my jypsy all the time, despite it being "off." It's a great bag; you can wear it with the flap closed and it's *roughly* the size of a regular Alexa, or you can wear it with the flap open and fit a lot more stuff in there, similar to a 30cm birkin.

Sorry to bombard you w/info, but this was a bag I spent a lot of time researching!
