shelleybean - how do you like your LV deauville?? i've always wanted that bag in auth when it was only $750...now it's doubled and now it's hard to find a rep of it but joy has one so i might do it

The Deauville is great, it was one of my original reps. In fact I believe it was part of my very first order with Jacky in the spring of 2006, I think. I had bought the black Chanel flap for my mum, the Deauville, the black Epi Figari, Gucci Horsebit Hobo and a white lambskin quilted Chanel overnight bag (Cambon line). That's one bag I didn't post a pic of in my group shot - not that it isn't good, I just didn't have room. I like the Deauville as a travel bag either as my "handbag" carry on or in my luggage as a toiletries case. It's pretty roomy and had lots of pockets and elastic straps to secure everything. It fits a ton of stuff. If you're using the travel sizes of everything, you can still put a flat iron and other assorted goodies in there. Yeah, Joy has it, but doesn't Catty have it too? If so I think her shipping might be considerably cheaper, non? I think I paid like $87 for it back then and I believe it's quite a good rep. Mine looks like it's been all over the world even if I haven't!

One of my friends didn't use her leather bag (not from T&D though) for months, left it in her closet and parts of it turned mouldy! Thanks for any advice.

xooey: T&D have not confirmed that they are doing Canard. I sent them the swatch just in case there is interest from you ladies. This way they would already have the Canard Swatch on hand. Why don't you add Canard to the list and see how many people we can get. If we can get 15 people I am sure that they would make canard. Canard is a fabulous shade.

I don't air out my leather bags but I could do so if I wanted to as I have a back yard. My bags are not in a closet. They are in their dustbags piled one on top of another. My Coach bags are on a white bookcase shelf which I purchased for my bags. So essentially my bags are being aired out everyday as they are on a bookshelf in my bedroom out in the open. I tell you I smell my Authentic Bal Bags in my bedroom as the leather is rich smelling.

It seems very unlikely that they would have an "expert" from Chanel come down to the sorting facility or have the bag sent to them at the store for authentication. It seems like a lot of time and expense for them to do that. Who pays for that? The government? Seems unlikely. Perhaps next time Jacky will give you a break on shipping and will charge you $45 total to send both bags separately. Regardless, I hope it all works out for you.

Last night on the subway the screw came loose from my medium PS1 bale - it was bad enough it was the incorrect bale....but when my strap came lose and my bag dropped to the subway floor...I lost a little bit of my dignity. Luckily, only strangers saw. I emailed Jacky, hopefully we can work out a solution.
