The thing with the Luggage colour is that Wangs auth version has a distressed, uneven colouring to it. You can see on the auth pic above that the leather near the seams is lighter in colour, making it appear almost 'vintage' and worn in. The brown colours that J has are too even and consistent and don't look right to me. Too one dimensional and 'blocky' (is that even a word?? )

The pic of his Rocco with strap above also looks more like Mustard. But then the studs won't be correct as far as i'm aware... I thought the newer colours came with the cupcake or the 3 tiered studs?? Please do correct me if i'm wrong peeps!

I am glad I went with my Black Rocco in the end. Nice and easy. I think if you are concerned with the details, black is best. If you just want a cool brown bag and don't mind it being a bit 'off' then coolio

Catty added two colors of the Celine Box / "The Classic" bag last night.

What are your thoughts?

Over the summer (late July) there was chatter about Jacky making a Celine box/classic bag. I emailed him that I was VERY interested in it. He let me know he would think about it.

I see he added the medium Celine Boston bag.

Which looks great.

But

It doesn't have that clasp I'm obsessed with.

And now the summer is over & mama needs a Celine box/classic bag -

I was going to treat myself to one of Catty's "super" Chanels (w/ the authentic lamnskin quilting & auth looking flat quilted bottom & auth sides.

But now this

I'm a bit apprehensive to be the 1st to order it, but then, someone has to :-)

This weekend I will go to Bergdorfs to see an auth Celine classic/box bag so I know exactly what to look for.

Please let me know your thoughts about this bag - will anyone else be ordering it?

Sooo - I dont know what to do. I finally took the plunge and ordered the LV SC bag from Jacky... I had a bunch of friends order with me so that I made the minimum - they all go their bags and Jacky said mine wasn't ready, but he'd ship it later - Now he is telling me to cancel the order cause he doesn't know when he's gonna get it!

I'm a little upset - I'd honestly rather wait a little while longer for the bag than to get a refund.

Anyone else go through this with Jacky?

Pulling teeth just to buy something from him!

So does he buy the auth to match the one he makes? I heard that he does. if this is so for this bag, how could he have made the color so off?

xooey, i'm not sure when you bought your magenta bag from T&D, but I have a magenta day from them from the first batch that is pretty close to the real deal...
I do remember hearing that the next batches from them weren't the same color saturation as the first...

I'm so dissapointed by Jacky's new Rocco Tan color, is just impossible to match with any Auth, to light for luggage and to far from mustard.

Blair Warner, the brown color of Cathy's Classic Celine box is a bit off isn't? Black seems better. I've been looking for that model and there is another site (MissLondon found it, thks) that has them in 2 leather quality: imported at 389€ and regular (which i think may be the same from Cathy's at 189€) with more color options. I'm just waiting to see if Jacky does it and more reviews or comments before deciding. Let me know if you want the seller info.

Nbf has done 5_6 hot pink runs. First one is quite true to 05 magenta, 2nd matched the 07 LE magenta, the the wrong run of a very dark pink, more like rasin, but pinker. Then they did first amethyst, and wrong run of magenta again, which xooey bag camr from. Then 2nd amethyst.

Luna - he told me previously the Cobalt would come in end Sep but guess there was a delay.

Presenting! My new to me noix RH City. It's so slouchy already I can't even believe it. I'm thrilled with the way it hangs. The color is REALLY pretty and different. It's not a flat a brown like the picture posted of the authentic (the one with seigle and sahara next to it). Authentic noix varies a lot (as others have said) and I absolutely think T&D's can pass as auth because I saw noix at Bal LA and it looked nearly identical to T&D's. The leather isn't as soft and silky as my HG VD bags, but it's very nice! I like the texture and the thinness is perfect.

Also, I thought I loved seigle but I looked at a lot of pics and I actually don't care for it. It's too taupe-y for my taste (with the exception of a few pictures) and I prefer a richer base color. I still love caramel though!

bby: You are a wealth of info on T&D's pink bags!! I also think their '05 magenta run was the best pink and I would probably buy a City and a WE if they got it right again! Can you imagine if they did it in chevre leather with perfect handles? I think we should get somes pics together and start a list once BDR is completed.

i'm also not sure if they are continuing that color going forward...the lv/sc thread has updates on the new colors and sizes coming out october 1...

BBS so happy you love your noix RH city, it's a gorgeous brown. i knew i wasn't crazy when i was looking at noix pics but i'm glad you saw it in real life and it is spot on! btw i LOVE caramel too!!!

i would love a rerun of this! would love another work because mine has just about had it (but i still use it!). i like my ame city, but it can't step to the first magenta run t&d did (this was released in fall of 07). this color was dead-on as i've matched it to four different magenta 05s through the years, including an auth weekender i owned for about a year.

latter magenta runs were NOT comparable to the auth 05 shade and i'm afraid if they were to re-run it we would run into the same issue.

yeah, magenta is totally different to amethyst IMO. i think magenta is very wearable, a lot more than amethyst. i think my dream wont happen soon

But they've never tried to rerun '05, have they? If someone could send them a sample of their '05 leather, the factory should be able to match it! Or they may even have a sample left.... I think they keep all the colors they do. I would be so thrilled with '05 magenta! I have the '07 LE magenta and a bag from each amethyst batch and none of them are the pink I was hoping for. I've considered getting Jacky's peony Hayden as a substitute but I'd really prefer a Bal!
