But they've never tried to rerun '05, have they? If someone could send them a sample of their '05 leather, the factory should be able to match it! Or they may even have a sample left.... I think they keep all the colors they do. I would be so thrilled with '05 magenta! I have the '07 LE magenta and a bag from each amethyst batch and none of them are the pink I was hoping for. I've considered getting Jacky's peony Hayden as a substitute but I'd really prefer a Bal!

I hope they sell out bdr fast so they can consider another run. What would be more perfect than 05 magenta AND perfect handles? Best thing on earth,lol

Can a medium PS1 hold a good amount of items and be okay?

ie. small cosmetic bag, wallet, cell phone. give or take a few items.

I have t&d's first batch of '05 magenta in First... so I know the magenta WE, even after the wash, was still far from '05 magenta. the leather is totally different too... my magenta first leather is really close to chevre (as i compared it to my auth). The handles were actually good but not as good as the ones from current production.

In my opinion, the closest of t&d leather to chevre leather is bubblegum! the color is slightly off but the touch of the leather is heavenly.... first batch of magenta, argent and sang are super close too.

Anyway, as much as I want t&d to rerun '05 magenta, '05 turquoise is what i'm dying for the boys mentioned sometime earlier this year that they would love to do it but just waiting for enough people ...as always

has anyone tried to clean their T+D bags with those leather wipes from Method available at target?

i saw that as a recomendation in harpers bazaar. not sure what i should do. i also own this product from LMB (pic from ebay). has anyone used this product?

i am all FOR T+D re-running magenta. (previously i had received one of the magenta colors that was off - it was muddy) magenta used to be a staple for T+D (they kept re-running it) so i dont see why they wouldnt run it again.

i'm also hoping that someone here will send them a sample of the new periwinkle b-bag color. those should be out in stores in another month or so.

I had T&D's first-run of the 05 Magenta, and it was THE MOST saturated, gorgeous color. I'm def in if they do a run, as long as they get it right! I'm not a "first" kinda gal, but I'd consider it as a small pop of color.

Those bags are chevre. T&D used italian goatskin leather on all their bags until recently when Balenciaga switched from goat to lambskin. In order to stay as close to auth as possible, T&D followed suit. So your older bags from the boys are indeed luscious chevre. That's why I'm hoping they'd be willing to do chevre if they run '05 magenta again. Really, if they're doing any older colors it would make more sense to do goatskin and obviously they have access to it so I think we should demand....er, I mean request it!

Hi Fanbao, the Galet from T&D leather is sort of thin and shiny, but veinny enough to make it looked bal-ish. The shine will go away after several application of leather moisturizer. The color is so versatile that I've been wearing it non stop for the last couple of weeks. Go get it while it is still available!

Babybluestar, if it's gonna be chevre, please put me in for each color!

2010 F/W Black a la T&D

Hi ladies! I'm not sure if you remember me asking for advice about a month ago on which bag to get my man for a birthday present. A few days after that, I actually took him to Balenciaga in Shinjuku, Tokyo, under the pretence of wanting to look at bags for me, when in fact I wanted to see what a real Velo looked like on him before committing to buy one from T&D. It looked good on him in terms of size and shape, not girly at all - the shop assistant actually said that they sell way more Velos to men than women because of the square 'masculine' shape and the fact it has a non-adjustable strap which is just too long for a lot of short Japanese women to wear cross-body. So I decided to take the plunge and order him a black T&D Velo for his 25th birthday last week (without telling him, of course, which was a bit of a risk as I wasn't sure whether or not he'd actually use it) ... and it was a HUGE success! He really loves it, is using it all the time and it looks amazing on him (I am biased, but still ).

Some pics (unfortunately he's quite camera-shy, so I haven't managed to take one of the actual bag on him, but you can see the strap and part of the bag in one or two )!

Leather: a good, saturated black (it's showing up lighter than it actually is IRL in these photos due to my camera's auto-adjusting) very soft and nice to the touch with a decent thickness to it. Slight shine which disappears with treatment. RH studs are darker than on my Framboise First, and more true to authentic (I compared his Velo to an auth RH City in a consignment shop near me). Anyone who was/is unsure about getting something because of thin/overly shiny leather concerns, I think you should go for it - this run of black is a winner! B)

Did anyone else pre-order black and receive their bag(s) already? I'd love to see them!

lovelovemode is the leather puffy? some of T&D's bags are dry and veiny and puffy. i end up not using them after awhile. Thanks for your reply : ))
