Ladies, please help in advising how I should clean the leather of nude lambskin with python trims Alexa from Jacky. It came looking dirty grey-beige, even though it's supposed to be brand new and unused. I've tried using wet wipes and a soft eraser, but to no avail. I've yet to try Apple Leather Care. My last resort is to send it for a bag spa/professional bag cleaner. Pls help, especially if you own the same bag. Many, many thanks.

^Xooey, have you tried saddle soap and a little bit of water on a damp cloth? That was what we always used with horse tack, followed by a good conditioner like Lexol. I try to clean all my bags with that when I get them, especially if they have that chemical smell from being sprayed in customs. I've never tried it on lambskin, though.

In the mail today I got a Rocco w/strap and a gold (tan) H Kelly longue. The Rocco was missing its shoulder pad, and the leather was a mix of pebbly and not-so-pebbly. I was a little disappointed. The Kelly longue was beautiful! It was made out of very nice Swift leather.

Here's some pics of the Anita bag from Jacky. The more I compare it to pics of the auth, the more impressed I am with what a nice job J did. It's got beautiful, soft, thick leather, and the handles and hardware really look great. The pics on his site must be of the rep not the auth, because they're identical to the one I got in the mail. It's a nice, slouchy bag, and the clasp isn't as hard to get in and out of as it looks. Sorry for the so-so pics.

I have the same bag and I used the Luxury Cleanser from Lovin My Bags. It worked really well and didn't damage the leather. On LMB's website they advise to not use ANY soap based products as anything with soap is too harsh for delicate leather. There is a ton of good info on their site and you can email them directly and ask which product would be best for plonge lambskin. Just google "lovinmybags" and you'll see the site.


Pics to come but want to say to anyone who is considering T&D's new black leather, GET IT! Wow oh wow is it some gorgeousness. Silky soft and distressed, not too shiny (I'm sure one coat of LR will knock it out) and the perfect thickness! I'm really impressed and lucky I snagged the bag I wanted!

Hey how is the Alexander Wang Darcy Slouchy Hobo from Jacky? The colour of the brown one seems a little off in the pic jacky has. Anyone seen it in real life, is it just the photo that distorts the colour so much?

One thing that put me off a bit is that the shoulder strap, along with the shape of the bag, makes it look awkward to carry over the shoulder. How do you find it? Also, does it fit much in it? Thanks

I emailed J yesterday about the Celine luggage tote, and he said it will be exactly as the photo.

i would wait before buying the celine luggage tote. i am pretty sure that's the auth. i emailed jacky earlier in the week to ask about this bag (because i was about to buy the auth) and he (or whoever answered his email that day) said they weren't making the zip version. i responded asking if they were making the buckle version and the answer was no, but the bag would be on the site this week. now i see it IS the zip version, so i'm thinking it's the auth.

i love, love, LOVE this bag. one of my favorites in a very long time.

well until i see it, i won't go on the hopes he has for the bag. not to say jacky isn't a man of his word, but you can never be sure what the rep will look like until you've MADE the rep version of the bag.

shoestring - love the anita! is the color in your pictures pretty true to irl? it looks more red on jacky's site. i really like both though. i think it's a pretty cool and unique bag.

Xooey: I had some denim transf. on my nude alexa and I freaked out..But one kind soul told me about Meguiar's Aloe Cleaner

The shoulder strap fits comfortably over the shoulder, and the bag hangs about mid-ribcage. I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't very awkward to wear. I keep it "strapped up" the whole time and just pull the clasp open and closed with the strap (if that makes sense). This actually is fairly easy, and perhaps what the designer intended? Seems to work.

It fits A LOT! It's roughly the same dimensions as the regular Alexa, although deeper than the Alexa, and you can fit all kinds of stuff in it and just cinch it closed. Somehow it's much roomier than a regular Alexa.

The color IRL is just a slight shade darker than the photo on Jacky's website. It's a maroon color IRL. The 4th photo I posted is the closest to its actual shade.

I'm really impressed by how close it looks to pics of the authentic. One thing that may be different is the hardware--the hardware on the Opening Ceremony website looks more brass-toned, whereas the hardware on the one I got is more pewter with a slight brass undertone. I know the flash photography on the O.C. pics may change the color cast on the hardware, but I'd be surprised if it changed it that much! I wish I could find more pics of the oxblood color to compare, as the black version has silver hardware.

Sorry for this to be off topic, but I often stalk this thread as well as the iOffer pictures only thread. Often times I am sooooo impressed with the quality of the products that some people have gotten!! So my predicament is that I've bought from Jacky twice, the first time was one item and the other was five, my first experience with him the quality was great, my LV overall was better than Catty's. The second time I purchased from Jacky however, four of the five items I purchased was just way too off on quality. I know that being reps I won't get anything that's perfect, but one of the most obvious things was my ps1, where the leather on the bag wasn't sewn right and looked like a ruffles potato chip!
I'm not rude to him at all, but I'm just wondering how I can make sure to get better quality products without sounding impolite. I want to purchase from him again, I'm just afraid that the same thing will happen again.

Sorry to hear about your experience.

The PS1 I received was like a ruffled potato chip as well from J I figured if the bag was stuffed in that area or put some books on top of it, the wrinkle would just flatten itself out. I didn't complain or tell him that it arrived that way...I thought it would just go away. If I were you, I would definitely bring it to his attention since it's not the first time this occurred (being that someone else now also received one ruffled).

I also have noticed that J's quality has gone down tremendously, especially with the leather on the Chanel bags.

I did let him know about the leather on the Chanel bags, and finally received an answer to my question regarding it. He finally told me that they are using Bottega leather now to do the Chanel bags

Whereas Catty's Chanel bags seem to have gotten better (structure wise).

I suppose you can let them know upfront about the quality without being rude, and ask that they check the bag you want before it is shipped for any defects, and if you receive any bag with any defects, let them know. I have found that sometimes they will help with major flaws when you bring it to their attention!

Are your other bags GH? RH bags have a metal plaque and GH bags have a leather tab.

dazzling: I'm so sorry about your order. I think nearly everyone here can relate. It's the worst when you're so excited about an order and it finally arrives only to disappoint. I think it's fair to tell Jacky the different flaws on the bags and I don't think it's rude at all to request a bag without flaws. Just be aware that he has many wholesale clients who place orders regularly that are $1,000s! So he's not always willing to take extra time to check small orders for certain details. I guess it's just a risk everytime you order but with how bad the PS1 sounds, I think he'll exchange it for you. And I agree about his Chanel (like Zen mentitoned)... I'm lucky enough to have snagged a vintage jumbo from his first production and it's incredible...but the more recent ones are definitely different. His lambskin quality isn't the same.... Hope it works out for you and let us know what he says!

PinkPrincess: I got the black RH City (can you believe I've never had one?!!)! The handles are PERFECT and the leather is truly awesome it's much more silky and soft than noix and not bubbly like outremer...feels like it's already been conditioned even though I know it hasn't. It's also really dark. The "white dust" is nearly nonexistent and I know it'll be jet black once I condition it! I think a GSH City with this leather would be tdf gorgeous. Jet black against silver HW, SO pretty! I want a WE now so badly. I'm trying to be good and restrain myself though.

It's kind of hard to know now since he changed the leather on his Chanel bags. The first is new, and I can't tell if it's the auth or not. The second is an old photo now, and can't really know if the leather is exactly the same as that photo now. They both look good in the photos but, recently the leather on the Chanels "I've" received from J hasn't been the same as in the photos.
