meryll, carta, ohhhhhmy - this chanel isn't on catty's site. i looked through her pics and couldn't find any quilted black flaps with the large CCs (i don't like the thin CCs...they look cheap and fake to me ) so i e-mailed her asking if she had it (2.55 with large CC's), she sent pics to confirm she did and i was sold
it's a small bag (at least compared to my xl vintage jumbo from jacky)...about the same size as a balenciaga first. hope that helps

Hi Crystal7, pic2 would be more closer to real life. I find the colour quite unique. It's a lighter shade of grey under sunlight but in the room, it turns one shade darker. I hope that helps..

Those of you who have received your Galet bags, are you in the US? Did T&D send you a shipment notification prior to your receipt of the bag?

I ask because I paid for mine about 3-4 weeks ago and was hoping to have it this week. I haven't heard anything though...

I'm wondering if anyone owns both RH and GH bags by T&D. I understand GH bags are usually significantly heavier due to the timbles; but how much heavier? Am deciding between a RH and GH City. Hoping the weight doesn't differ much. I don't want to end up tiring myself out wearing a bag! Also, does GH tarnish easily? Appreciate your observations.

I don't have a RH city but I have a RH work. Weight wise, I prefer my work since it is noticeably lighter. Whenever I carry my GSH city I try not to carry too much stuff so it doesn't add on to the weight. But idk maybe I'm just weak lols.

Hi Bonne, i am not from the US but the receipt shows the bag was sent on Saturday. T&D didnt send me any tracking number, so I actually missed it when it was delivered on Monday evening. Got it on Tuesday.

And many thanks to Ladyluxe for your fantastic recommendation regarding the 4in1 cleaner. It works

Thanks all for your comments about the weight between RH and GH. I really like how VD and Galet looks and would probably get one each and in different hardwares. Trouble now is, VD or Galet with GH? That's my problem to solve.

I got my galet city today. I was holding my breathe as I tore into the parcel. I have been wanting a grey bag forever! And with all the reviews, well, I was keeping my expectations down to a minimum. So the bag....yes, it's a tad shiny. But the leather feels great. Not stiff. And no smell for mine. And since I can't get a bottle of the leather cleaner that ladyluxe recommended, I've to use nail remover polisher on mine. And then a full massage of lotion. She's drying out upstairs. I'll post pictures when she's dried.
