chukotka: The Neely is a flap/top handle bag. I love flap bags and find them quite functional. I wear the bag with strap on my shoulder so it is really
easy to get in and out of the bag this way. You can slip you hand in through
the side to get something as I tried it but I don't use the bag that way.

Taobao Help??

Hoping some of you ladies may have more info/insight. I stumbled onto a seller on taobao seller xhipiju (but I can't read the Chinese) and the seller has outrageously auth looking Chanel bags. But, they're selling them for $400!!!

I remember someone mentioning getting taobao bags for cheaper (if my memory serves me correctly)?? Or if anyone has any experience with a good taobao Chanel seller or xhipiju?

Chukotka, I couldn't find the seller on taobao. is that their username in english? i think someone mentioned if you email the seller directly off taobao you can get a bit of a discount b/c you save on the taobao fees.

carta: I'd love to know about any Goyard experiences as well - doesn't seem too popular on this thread. I have wanted an orange Goyard Jeanne for ages now.

Shelleybean/Carta: I purchased a Goyard black st.louis PM tote (with tan straps) from Catty last year and, bearing in mind that I have never seen a Goyard in real life, I was very happy with the quality. I did quite a bit of research on these bags before purchasing the catty rep and found that replicas of Goyards are rampant in New York, but they are not commonly found (real or fake) in other places besides San Fran. I think they are quite easy to rep and hard to tell the difference from the real thing from afar. The big tell-tale sign from my research is the fact that the print on the real bags is hand-painted and most fakes dont have the raised print to replicate this detail. However, the Goyard I purchased from Catty had the raised print and the proportions seem to be spot on to photos I've seen. I would never pay the $900-1000 dollar price tag for the real version of this - the main material is canvas and a slick of leather for the handles, but I was quite satisfied with the $60/70 bucks I paid Catty for what I think is a very good rep. I would post pics, but I just moved house and I'm waiting for the proper internet to get set up. If you want a pic, let me know and Ill do it next week

Thanks for responding. I found the seller through some roundabout research and immediately sent them an email. We'll see how much of a discount I can get. Actually, I'm not sure of their Taobao seller name? I found a link and copied and pasted it and it directed me to a Taobao page entirely in Chinese. I just did a conversion of yuan to USD.

I've also been going through Fang's Chanels. They also look great but her price points are ridiculously high and not very uniform. I remember other members chatting about her prices.

PinkPrincess113, i have a black EC from the latest batch. i posted pictures a few weeks ago. i feel like the overall shape is a little bit off - the sides aren't completely straight, they're slightly rounded. meanwhile, the flap itself is straight. so it looks funny if examined closely. at first glance everything is fine though. i still love it lots, and i'm sure you will too

also, i'm getting Catty's medium flap in black caviar with silver hardware!!! i'm also getting a silk skull scarf. this is my first time ordering from Catty but so far, so good. i ordered yesterday night and received the tracking number this morning. i'm used to T&D's snail pace so that was a nice surprise
