As it's their own formula. But it is brilliant and their shipping is so reasonable compared to LMB's! I think apple care is great for super soft leathers but leather revive is good for tough British leathers

Chupi: Thanks a lot for the info. I will try the Leather Revive. In the meantime, I am trying some pure Lanolin, it's used for breastfeeding mother to cure cracked and dry nipple.LOL. My alexa is a bit sticky now but I will keep using it until it softens and then I will remove the excess Lanolin. Lanolin is also used in Leather CPR.

Has anyone tried Leather CPR to clean and condition their leather bags?

Cherish - I'm gonna order khaki from Jacky if he is going to make it in mini PS1. I have a black and don't think I want another one in the same colour. I *think* see suede in one of their promo images and if it is really suede, and Jacky is going to make them, I will definitely get the suede version. Not too keen on the brighter colours he proposed. Crossing fingers for khaki.

please...I cannot get Leather Revive, so I went to my cobbler and told him I have a leather bag that needs to be softened up he suggested saddle soap has anyone ever used saddle soap on their bags to soften leather, I thought l'd ask here before I bought a tin of it, thanks

Mini PS1 Update: After telling him that quite a few girls were interested in the Smoke/Khaki, he said that he WILL be making it! (It's not in suede, however) but YAY! I will be ordering one in Black, Khaki, and if he somehow replicates the croc in some way - that one too.

Now it's just a waiting game to find out the details of the bag - and last I heard they won't be released until November. :'(

nalgene_freak: You can just wait for him to list as he doesn't take prepays like T&D, but we're still waiting on the measurements of the bag before he can make it. However, it helps if you can e-mail him to ask for the Khaki mini ps1. I don't want him to say later that he won't be making it! He seems to make things if people show enough interest in it...

Crystal: Will they not ship to you? On their site they offer worldwide shipping for £6.40, does it not work for Canada?

Saddle soap is great, but it is literally that, for saddles! My friend used it on her boots and it stripped the colour off so if you are using it test it on a tiny bit first and rub it really well. I've used it on old leather and it's fine but my friend's boots were new Nine West ones and whatever way they'd dyed them the saddle soap stripped their colour

I could order some to here (i'm in the UK) and ship it to you?

Girls, this thread is so bad for my wallet!

I just received my Galet Day RH (which I absolutely love - it hasn't left my shoulder since it arrived) from T&D about a week ago, but I couldn't resist and just put in a Jacky order. Handbags are my crack habit, I'm afraid!

I decided on what seem to be Jacky's two gems (or so I hope!), the 2886 Chanel black caviar with silver hardware and the Alexa in nude with python. The Chanel is a gift for my mum and the Alexa is for myself. So excited for both bags, I've seen so many amazing photos of both in this thread that I simply had to give in.

Anyway, LOVE the mini PS1 bags... the khaki and black look divine. And khaki in suede would be perfect for me. Too bad I am putting myself on a bag ban! Alexa better be worth it!

I was just wondering if you just follow the instructions on the bottle for leather revive or do you have any other good tips on use? Also, does it matter if the leather revive goes on stitching etc?

Um I'd test some on the back of the mirror of the galet and maybe the inner part of the alexa just to be sure that it won't change the colour It looks like it makes the colour super dark when you put it on first but it drys out fine. I used it on my Sang and it made it a fraction of a shade darker but I kinda liked the slightly darker colour

Otherwise just follow the instructions:
Slather the bag with cream
Rub it well in (like a serious bag massage!)
Wrap in clingfilm
Leave overnight
Give it a good buff with a clean cloth
Air to get rid of the stinky smell! Took about a week for me .

Anyone with cattys chanel comment on the stiffness of the leather? I have a few of jackys 2886 caviar and lambskin but they don't hold their shape as well as a vintage jumbo I got from him last summer. Boo

I love the two that I have and the lambskin is very soft and buttery! The bags look and feel very luxurious and expensive. I will be getting more Chanels from him in the future, but now I'm tempted to try Catty!

I just checked my tracking number from T&D (for the zillionth time) and I'm surprised that it says it's out for delivery TODAY! Yipee!

By the way, Jacky is lightning fast with shipping. I had my tracking number from him the very next day! By my calculations, I'll have my goodies by the end of the week.

I agree with BabyBlueStar, we are so incredibly lucky to be in touch with Jacky. Call me weird but I feel like sending him some fresh baked cookies.
