I noticed that my Giant CITY bags have rivets that have 2 long square notches.

BUT... my Giant WORK and Giant DAY bags have rivets with 2 semi- rounded notches.

Do the rivet's notches differ depending on the bag style for authentic ones??

Although... keep you mind though that the ones with the semi-rounded notches were SILVER hardware and the square notches were GOLD hardware.

I would love it if someone can solve this mystery....

overall, do you sometimes think the NBF balenciaga bags are WAY better in quality than some of the REAL authentic balenciaga bags?

Like in terms of leather quality feel, hardware, etc...

platinum serenity, i think it depends on the batch and the color...
there are some seasons/years of authentic bbags that simply weren't very good, and the T&D versions were better, but there were T&D bags that they couldn't get the color exactly right or the leather wasn't as good...

the risk buying an authentic without seeing it in person first and buying one from T&D based on photos is about the same...
i've been lucky buying authentic bbags over the phone...
my SA at bal ny will send me pics and if i give her a description of the leather i want, she sends that one to me...
but she's also getting a good commission from the sale...i'm not sure if T&D will do that (and give you that kind of service) if you ask...

ideally, i never buy an authentic without seeing it in person and comparing leather, but you have to accept some level of risk not only buying from T&D but from any rep seller...

but if u ask me which leather do i prefer? i would say i prefer my NBF. I love the leather itself as it is. i dont compare how close it is to the real one here, alrite?
i love my sorbet, my maldives, my moutarde, my BRD, my BR... they are the type of leather i want, thick and chewy.

and it is beyond my expectation when i pay only 200-300 for my bags. i think if i bring that amount of money to the mall, i dont get a good decent leather bag (fossil, coach...). that's another reason why i love my NBF even more.

YES, NBF leather bags are AWESOME! i love all of them that i own!

i do have authentic bals though that have amazing leather, just like some of my T&Ds have amazing leather, but i have received some bags from T&D that are duds (and so have plenty of other members here)...
either the leather isn't great or the details are off, or the bag isn't the right size...

I have a question to those who have a GSH bag from T&D.
Does the zipper fade?
Mine does. The silver in the zipper fades and shows the brass color underneath.
I just got my bag less than a month.

I had 2 bags that i used constantly for more than 1 year and the zips faded. And i know the auth fades too. However, 1month is a little too fast. Maybe it is the weather...you know, like fashion jewelry, it fades badly

Also, the brass on J's Mulberry's - how do you find that the brass looks like after it has been used for a while?

Platinum, I know first hand that NBF's bags can be a lot better than auth Bal. I've had my NBF in the store while feeling the dry, dull leather on the auth Bal bags. I agree with others that it varies. I would just way rather have paid $200 for a less than stellar bag than $1400, KWIM? And the bags from NBF that I'm thrilled with are so so SO worth any less than great ones I've had.

I think the leather can be hit or miss, when it comes to authentic bal's or T&D's. I suppose it depends on what kind of leather you prefer....the recent authentic bal's I saw all had very dry leather, but im sure some of T&D's have been on the dry and thin side too. Just like, both have thick and chewy leather at times as well.

I received my Nuage twiggy yesterday from NBF.. The color is amazing. It's like a periwinkle color... so different looking that in the photos... but then again, I did some research and found that it photographs differently than what it looks like IRL.

and the leather is super nice - I'd compare it to my amethyst or vert deau twiggy's leather.. which were my faves.
