platinum serenity, i think it depends on the batch and the color...
there are some seasons/years of authentic bbags that simply weren't very good, and the T&D versions were better, but there were T&D bags that they couldn't get the color exactly right or the leather wasn't as good...
the risk buying an authentic without seeing it in person first and buying one from T&D based on photos is about the same...
i've been lucky buying authentic bbags over the phone...
my SA at bal ny will send me pics and if i give her a description of the leather i want, she sends that one to me...
but she's also getting a good commission from the sale...i'm not sure if T&D will do that (and give you that kind of service) if you ask...
ideally, i never buy an authentic without seeing it in person and comparing leather, but you have to accept some level of risk not only buying from T&D but from any rep seller...
