esp. for posh events! About the footwear; Rome is beautiful but it's a pity there are so many tourists spoiling the beauty
It's usually quite hot around this time of the year so keep that in mind! I'd say some cute flats or sandals will do, Rome is not a 'fashion city' anymore

About Lucky Stars love for italy....After 7 years here I find it too Italian...I see all the bad things...the traffic, peoples comments all the time, the superficiality (?) the difference between rich and poor, corruption, absense of new tendencies etc...
And now it's around 40 degrees and in 3 days I go home to Sweden...finally...
