It sucks! There's a biopic on Jeff Buckley (finally!) and its penn guy from gossip girl that's playing him! Im disappointed James isnt.

^ There's two films of Jeff Buckley going into production. The one Penn is in isn't a biopic of Jeff. The other one that James was attached to at one point are now looking for an unknown actor according to the producers. That one also has Jeff's mum as a producer but it doesn't look like James will be playing Jeff.

No problem James was attached to it for a long time I believe but it took a really long time for the film to get funds. Now it has the funds and the director but no lead. I'm not sure why James isn't doing it, he really does look a lot like Jeff.

^maybe because he looks a little older nowadays, well older than Jeff who died at 30, and of course he has a gazillion projects to attend to and he wouldn't have the time anyway!
Plus, the producers said they're looking for an unknown, like the guy that played Ian Curtis on ''Control''.

I was under the impression that Jeff's mum never wanted a movie about him made. If there was gonna be one, James would be good. He's got the right hair for it.

^she never did, but since people started going around it, like the Penn Badgley movie being made now that won't use any songs and it will be based on a fictional story, she thought she'll do it while she has some control over it. You can learn more on Jeff's thread here on tfs

I just watched 127 Hours........ WOW! He was amazing in it. I didn't see all the hoopla around the 'arm cutting' scene. But there are very few actors who can carry a 2 hour movie almost all by their lonesome.

fantastic interivew! major karma Chiara I'm glad that he talks so candidly about the Oscars and his degrees and whatnot - I won't lie sometimes he comes off quite pretentious, but not after talking about it in this interview. It's interesting that he literally just does what he wants purely because it interests him, even if it is "General Hospital" lol
