Jennifer Lopez F/W 05.06 New York

i disagree with the phrase that she didnt work her way to holywood or fashion week. If she didnt have the drive that she has and if people didnt appreciate what she did talent or no talent, i dont think she's be where she is today. Itys still too early to tell how the line will do but for now all we can do is to sit and wait>

do i detect some junya watanabe influence in this coat? :(

Junya Watanabe? Hmm, I was thinking Stella McCartney, specifically her costume for Gwyneth P. in "SkyCaptain & The World of Tomorrow."

why are victor & rolf here? what the hell, they are so much more talented than J.LO

Are you sure it's Victor & Rolf, and not Andrew & Andrew from NYC?

I loved Simon Doonan's quote in last weeks Newsweek:

"We've only ourselves to blame because we've given celebrities these deranged feelings of omnipotence. She'll be doing brain surgery next" Simon Doonan, creative director at legendary New York fashion retailer Barneys, reacting to Jennifer Lopez's upstaging big-name designers with her debut during New York's Fashion Week

   Brilliant!!!!!

DSquared + Fendi(without the wit) + Versace = Sweetface

She has no personal looks, any random fashion wannabe could have done that.

i missed it, but i grabbed this from mtv.com...it's going to be on again today at 4pm, saturday at 10am and sunday at 12noon (all times EST)

Jennifer Lopez: Beyond The Runway
MTV and Jennifer Lopez take over the runway for her FIRST-EVER fashion show spectacular showcasing Jennifer's new fall clothing line. "Jennifer Lopez: Beyond the Runway" is an hour-long MTV special that will give viewers unprecedented access to this triple-threat star through interweaved documentary footage showing Jennifer's very hands-on approach to running her company, while juggling her already demanding schedule. In this exclusive special, MTV cameras will capture Jennifer's vision for the line's overall "look" and "feel" and her meticulous involvement in the styling choices and choosing the models. Viewers will be privy to all the intricate details, including how the team works, the deadline pressures, the approval process and dramatic creative redirections. The special will ultimately culminate in an eye popping and star-studded event, the most anticipated fashion show at Olympus Fashion Week

it'll take 2 years with little or no publicity for Jenny to orchestrate any kind of exciting 'comeback' which I am all for but at the moment I am quite irritated by any mention of her name. (and what the< f**k> was she wearing to her show?)

<*pls watch the profanity...thx...>

I saw it, seriously she didn't do squat. Her designer did everything and the most input I saw her do was complain about a pair of jeans' wash and how she wants it to "pop out" at people on the rack. The show wasn't even really entertaining. You guys should watch it if you're bored, but if you're thinking of seeing any creative directing and/or vision, I'd suggest you change the channel.

I saw the Beyond The Runway on MTV, it was so boring. It was basically Jennifer wearing her own line the whole time (can you say plug?) having a breakdown, screaming at the 7 designers, panicing about Oribe not doing a hair test.

The best part is when Anna Wintour and Andre Leon Talley wanted a preview, Anna seemed so disintrested and went through the clothes so fast, Andre tossed in a compliment with the $2 Million pair of jeans.

How high do those woman's heels have to be the keep that nancy off the floor?
