The Moschino brand has been such a non-entity since Franco's gone. Now they're just desperately seeking attention, and with the added feature of heavy-handed cheap gimmicks-- because that's all Jeremy Scott is: Mr. Gimmick. Even on his best day, Jeremy's not even a very very poor man's Franco. Franco had genuine wit, cheekiness and expensive humor-- as well as a greta sense of political/social elegance on his side. He was able to design a Chanel-knockoff with "Expensive Jacket" emblazoned on the back, and made me smile. Jeremy's only sense of humor is cheap gimmicks. Who would pay for that? Everything he touches just looks cheap. I'm actually more surprised/ shocked/ impressed that such heavyhitters as Pucci, Chloe and Versace were interested in him. To be turned down by Jeremy Scott...
