i second the ones from urban outfitters. i bought a pair at full price, and now that they're on sale for $19.99 i bought four more pair, literally
they look nothing like the stripper-y ones posted above. the fit is more of a true palazzo, and since they're not hemmed on the bottom they fall beautifully. fabric has a nice hand, doesn't pill. i have been wearing my black pair with a small, fitted sweater-blazer and a nice long-sleeve cotton tee underneath for work, and they actually do dress up that way very nicely. if you do it right, it's a basic black pant... not sweatpants-y
and if you're 5'3 like me, the length on the urban outfitters pair is spot-on... always a plus!
i'm a 6 and the medium fits me perfectly. i just measured one of my new pair (just came today, yay! ps- there's a discount if you use visa and your order is over $100) and the waist, unstretched, is about 28". hope that helps!!
also, the olive looks much lighter on the site... it's really a true deep lovely olive. and the grey isn't really heathered (it's a nice, dark charcoal).
well im a 6 ... i bought a pair of chocolate palazzo pants in a medium. Also these pants are allover the place in stores, i bought a pair from jc penny yes jc penny which has , string of coins done in chanel like way its cool and i bought with a white puff sleeve jacket and a choker it looks awesome. yes this is jc penny ... i cant believe i said that. Im going through this 1940-50s mood so I feeling like dressing like girls like then and its funny all the recent fall trends are moving that way esp luella , dvf, herrara and im sure others will jump soon.
Well I know they're newly available but I can almost guarantee this will be short-lived.
These pants were super popular in the early 90s (worn with clunky flats) - given the way fashion trends go, it's too soon for them to return. Sorry y'all.
I'm actually wearing a pair at the moment (but high waisted) but then I'm pregnant and they are the MOST comfortable thing I own. But yip - no lycra, no cling, mine are more of a jersey crepe and not bell bottomed... cant handle a bell bottom.
interesting, thanks for bringing this up veronicaUSA.
They're pretty foul in my opinion, not something I'd wear. I don't think they're at all flattering, they're not even the type of thing I can go "I wouldnt wear them but they look good on..." They do however look so comfy for wearing in the house. I've also seen people wear these as a type of 'sarong trouser' to the beach over their bikini's in Europe.
if you dont like it dont wear it! , I think its very flattering , it looks good ,feels good , their flying off the shelves in north america , and its awesome in lounge bars since its roomy and comfy.
