Lululemon pants

I was reading a magazine article yesterday,(sorry, I can't remember which one) about how Lululemon has been sold to an American company who plans to open about 250 stores in America over the next five years.....

I have a lot of TNA, it's been around for a long time. It's super comfy. I bought Lululemon pants a few years back because my friend made me go to the store with her.... I ended up selling all the Lululemon I bought...I sold it all on Ebay coz I never wore it...The fit wasn't right on me........It's okay..But so played out here too.... =P

So I went to the store today to buy my sisters bag, It was horrible. The store was extremely crowded full of mainly blonde teenage girls (not picking on blondes, they just happened to be blonde) all looking at all the stuff. It was bad, and all the employees tressed in yoga pants and people carrying around their yoga mats.

I wonder how many of them really do do yoga. :innocent:

If you're referring to how many of the employees really do yoga, I'd have to say that most of us do!

i live in montreal, and i noticed tons of girls on the mcgill campus wearing lululemon. they looked nice, and fit really well, so i decided to check out the store and see about getting a pair.

i was really disappointed in the end.. i would NOT spend $100 for jogging pants.

If you want to wear Lululemon to Yoga or when exercising, that's cool. But ladies, PLEASE don't wear that stuff everywhere... it's tacky as hell. Us Canadians need to start dressing better, we dress much too shabby :/

^ No.. there's the occasional "well-dressed" Vancouverite ;) But I know what you mean, I'm so sick of highschool girls with their TNA/Lululemon suits with fake *** LV bags. Oh and their NikeShox in PINK. .....paired with those big plastic Chanel earring knockoffs

^^ Don't get me started on the fake LV's....!!!! :yuk:

But back to Lululemon... they do have some great workout wear in cool colours. And I like that they have a rather discreet logo.

^ Yes Lululemon has a wide range of colours.... I don't know.... The omega logo is kind of annoying to me though. Especially on their hoodies, the logo is huge! The high school girls who wear them, wear it as a statement, like "LOOK AT ME! I'm wearing Lulu!"

Haha fake LVs....I can't believe some people have the nerve to bring their fake LVs into Holt Renfrew.... I see that allll the time

 canadians aren't the only ones guilty of this!! i admit that i was decked out in lululemon all day today. but i was going to yoga so i have an excuse! :p

I tried lululemon pants and they are WONDERFUL (but i am definitely not on board this "wear them everyday" ship... keep them for yoga)

but does anyone know of any other brands that aren't so ridiculously overpriced and are just as good?

I do bikram and I love lululemon's yoga shorts. Although they're a bit pricey, I still haven't found a company that could compare to their quality.

alix, you might try Patagonia. They have yoga/climbing pants that are modestly cheaper, but lots cheaper if you can find them on sale (which shouldn't be too hard to do, unlike with Lululemon). I think good spandex is not that cheap, though.

I like the brand a lot for its clean functionality, at least in the Boogie crop and Run:swiftly tops. They really do feel good to wear. But the pants pill a lot more and sooner than I'd like, considering the price. Oh well. I'll wear mine out, so it's still worth it.

I had never heard of them until my annoying cousin from Canada (no offence to Canadians, I love you guys - except for my annoying cousin) started sprouting on (and on) about this Lululemon brand... they even have stores here (Australia)... I don't see what's so special. I personally prefer aussie brand Lorna Jane:

ugh, I can't stand those stupid pants! I mean, why in the world would you spend that much on a pair of jogging/yoga pants?
Maybe it's just because I used to live in a city where EVERYBODY wore them in public :( that I just got so sick of seeing them everyday and hearing people raving about them. They have become the pants equivalent of those ugg boots for me.

Never heard of the brand before- probably because I'm from England- and went onto the website. I don't see why loads of people are wearing them where you all live because they're really ugly! OK, I understand why you would want them for yoga... but only for yoga; you wouldn't wear that kind of thing out in public. Seriously. Yuck.
