funny story. I clicked on this thread to take a look of what is going on...and I turned away and my husband made this awful awful face at the screen I said don't worry I am not buying anything and I turned to see what he is looking at the ugly FEET. EWY

:p :p

That is HYSTERICAL!

i found it really dissapointing that all of the heels that are in stores from jimmy choo had the heel shortened by at least an inch compared to the pictures above...

The first pair are amazing in person.

I agree w/ cavanaugh about the neutering of the shoes though.

I received my catalogue in the mail yesterday from Jimmy Choo so I thought I would upload a couple of the pictures that interested me. I really like the wet look of the patent and the other pair of wedges are very de Haviland. There are some more shoe pictures available in the handbags thread (since some pages feature shoes and handbags). If you want me to scan more just let me know but i only scanned these as they were the only things that excited me.

I    the slingbacks - so sexy! But I`m not sure if the colour-combination black/purple works for summer...

I purchased these on pre-order from Bergdorf Goodman a few months ago. I have them now and I love them. They go with so many things I already own.

Thank you stillettogirl84 and Zarina. This is my first "designer shoe" purchase as I usually buy Cole Hann, Bally, Bruno Magli, etc. so I'm glad to have your positive feedback.I really feel great wearing these slim heels they're very sexy on me.:brows:

I've said this in the Plus Size Style thread but I'm really focusing on shoes, bags and accessories purchases to dress up my wardrobe. I'd say these will do the Spring/Summer job for me for quite a few years to come.

I don't see the shadow of its store in KL... the Valiram people told me they're gonna open two stores in KL.

Um.. I just had to click on page 11 to see the picture everyone was grossed out upon, and now i have lost my appetite. Wtf ?

Those feet make the shoes look like they were made of toilet paper, especially with the wad left on the floor.

Proof that beautiful things won't make you beautiful.:lol: :yuk:

I don't know why Jimmy Choo has lost its popularity. Admittedly, I have not purchased any since last year but will buy at least two pairs before summer's end. Recently, I have been focused on adding to my Christian Louboutin collection. I must admit the red soles are hypnotizing. The Christian Louboutin's I am most attracted to are usually very classic styles that I will wear for years to come. However, Jimmy Choo and Manolo Blahnik are fun shoes for me. Nonetheless, I am still trying to understand the backlash against Jimmy Choo.

Jimmy Choo Shoes without Jimmy Choo?

How has Jimmy Choo Shoes fared since the departure of Jimmy Choo OBE? Has the Jimmy Choo brand lost some of its mystique and gravitas? Was it ever possible to take Jimmy Choo the man out of the Brand and still expect it to thrive with such dynamism and creativity? Perhaps the definitive answers to these questions is still in the balance. The Jimmy Choo brand still appears to be maintaining its precious customer-base and some of the designs since Jimmy Choo’s departure look acceptable, so perhaps there is life after Jimmy Choo for Jimmy Choo shoes? It is still possible to buy Jimmy Choo shoes from the man himself. Jimmy Choo designs and creates bespoke footwear under the alluring banner of Jimmy Choo Couture and are availble from his London store.
Jimmy Choo quick Bio:
Jimmy Choo was born in Penang, Malaysia in 1961 into a family of shoe makers. He made his first shoe when he was only 11 years old. He attended Cordwainers’s Technical College in London and the London College of Fashion.
All Jimmy Choo Couture shoes are hand-made, his unrivalled craftsmanship is demonstrated with obsessive attention to detail. Jimmy Choo Couture Shoes compliment the very finest designer clothing.
Jimmy Choo’s style is always elegant, feminine and occasionally seductive. Jimmy Choo Couture shoes were favoured by the Princess of Wales, who would buy one style in several colours for evening wear and to coordinate with her day suits. Jimmy Choo lost count of the number of shoes he made for Princess Diana. After the separation she could frequently be seen in his delicate high-heeled shoes, a style that she could not wear when walking with her shorter husband.

Thanks for sharing. This is an interesting read. However, many design houses have survived without its founder (i.e., Chanel, Versace and the list goes on). In fact, LV never had a founder designer to my knowledge but the brand has been reinvented itself in the last 10 years or so and is more popular than ever. I am wondering if there is another reason. Personally, I still like Jimmy Choo. Some of my favorite shoes are Jimmy Choos. I am wondering if I am one of the few remaining loyalists. Admittly, I have not research gross figures or the like.

I am a Loyalist!!!:flower:....I looove his Shoes,no other shoes would fit me perfectly!!!.....Actually,I know Dato' Jimmy Choo(that is how he's known in Malaysia),he's a very humble, softspoken man!!
