Jonathan Anderson - Designer, Creative Director of JW Anderson & Christian Dior

It's good to hear they're putting together a new team at Dior, because honestly, they'll need all the help they can get to make this tenure a success.

Will Peter Utz be replacing Mathilde Favier?
No he is working with her under Bialobos.
I wonder if her role isn’t going to change though.

This actually looks good? At least the proportions work on him.

CHECK THE TAG

This looks better than his last Dior outfit, which was khaki's, a sweater, and a pair of tennis shoes. I can't find the pic, but it looked more like a J Crew sales rack than a high-fashion label from Paris.

He's a little doll, but I see him in Thom Browne more than JWA's anything.

For me none of these have been remotely flattering to a woman’s body and that’s a huge problem. Dior is red carpet and these are heavy and consuming losing the wearer completely. Even the more skimpy to sweater stuff also unflattering. Idk how you drive Dior women’s with no concept of how to flatter/dress a woman.

They are also very aging. Rashida’s dress looks like something the mother of the bride or mother of the groom would wear to the wedding.

I designs are not flattering at all but they also had a choice. I wonder what other choices they were presented with that were worse than this?

To be fair, the dresses are not horrendous, they are just so unflattering.

I think I-D or some other magazine had recent interview with JWA in which he remarks that he and Delphine know what they are doing. I’m honestly not so sure.

I wonder how close they are and how much he campaigned for this role, and because she is drinking the cool-aid said why not.

Too bad the editors will sing his praises and we won’t get one bad review from his women’s collection (assuming negative reviews are deserved).

How fast was the flip of public opinion on this. I remember a few month ago everyone was so excited and so looking forward…
I'm not sure it was a flip so much as we're seeing tedious MGC supporters, Galliano fanatics who can't let go, and resentful Hedi stans coming out of the woodwork to lament the wrongness of whatever JW Anderson does. I have mixed feelings about his Dior thus far, but hell, it's at least interesting enough to make me curious about the first show.
