Jonathan Anderson - Designer, Creative Director of JW Anderson & Christian Dior

So we went from 'we should all be FemInISTs' to 'we should all be reading BoOkz'
Was the design process something like: Book tote. Books. Literature. Me, Irish. Hmm… Dracula?
Let’s hope he comes up with better ideas for his women’s show—because this bag looks even cheaper than its alleged 50 euro production cost.

Terrible colour combo and looks very cheap.
Doesn't feel believable since Jennifer Lawrence style especially during these years of her life, wears more understated mostly The Row and Bottega Veneta.
Well… let’s say that JLaw’s “style” doesn’t feel belivable since she simply doesn’t have it and simply wears what she or his stylist is paid to wear…

Rihanna for example is also wearing what her stylists pull or brands offer, pretty much everything and every brand under the sun, it feels a tad more believable on her rather than JLaw.
Neither really works..

lol this bag cost less than 50 euro to make no joke, its not leather nor has high finishing processes other then seams loc stitching

any ways i like this yellow dracula one if i got it as gift i would use it for beach or travel till it gets old and beaten it would look nicer as a canvas tote you don't care about, but i dislike it as a lady bag you take care of.

and i am not a dior buyer since hedi days.

that said i like part of the uniqlo dior fication lol but i agree it needs to get sharper and less naive school boy ...hopes for womenswear are low so far since the previews.

Hope he starts collab with artists for the Book tote like Maria did with Pietro Ruffo and many others cause the versions of the bag from the menswear collection were simply atrocious

I don't think he's doing himself any favors by launching the One Dior with menswear. As much as menswear has evolved in the last few years, it's still not moving needles in terms of fashion influence. They should have held back and launch with the womenswear. As of right now, his One Dior is lacking a punch.

The look is cool, it is the one Ethel Cain was wearing when she attended the Dior show.

Now: the skirt, with all the muguet is really a beautiful homage to mr. Dior's favourite flower, but if you want to rock that loose and masculine top, you need to counterbalance it with the supercute bow shoes that Ethel was wearing (Natalia Vodianova was wearing them as well, so I imagine they will be in the October show).

I just don’t understand how he went from what Loewe was to this it’s utterly blowing my mind the contrast especially in how elevated smart chic Loewe felt to how basic and just drab this so far has been. Hopefully it’s just because of the overlap in transition but like someone else said then they should’ve waited and started with women’s.
